Just started process on VWL purchase and I KNOW whithout a doubt that we want to do this - just counting on it 'falling' through or Disney Right of Refusal or SOMETHING! - or financing - sigh - DEEP BREATH!
Just venting here - it is so permanent and so exciting at the same time.
I don't even think I was like this on wedding day!?!;)
Anyhow - just roaming the posts for some :goodvibes !!

I posted not too long ago about the Butterflies in my stomach feeling- someone else let me know it never goes away- They had been members for very long and it is still there every time they plan to go "Home"- So, Here's to never losing that feeling! Isn't the excitement overwhelming? It is all good though! Congrats again!

Good luck with your purchase. We recently went through the TSS for our SSR contract and the staff was great :thumbsup2 However, I completely understand the anxiety you are having. It took us about a week to pass ROFR, but the waiting was horrible :rolleyes1 Overall, the whole process was really fast and we would definitely do it again. When you get that final e-mail saying you're officially closed, it will all be worth it :)

While we paid for expedited closing thru TSS on WL, Disney took nearly the maximum allotted ROFR time:eek: it drug along, hoping for a quick pass for u!:wizard:

How long is Disney allowed to think about it, weeks?

It seems to me it should be a quick look in their books, if the offer falls within or above a given range (adjusted for pts available) -and- there's nobody waiting for that resort/ pt value/use year through them, then the resale is permitted.

Good Luck! I originally purchases OKW from TSS in 1999 and sold OKW to purchase the WLV in 2005. I absolutely love the WL and had to purchase there. I have stayed SSR and OKW but prefer the WL hands down. I will try BC, BW, AKL,and the new treehouses eventually. If I remember right it took two weeks or so for ROFR. Hopefuly we'll welcome you home real soon.

No we 'bought' 170 points ... it was soooo fast I don't think I thought twice about it! LOL
That being said though - it was not a rash decision! We have roamed the board ( been on for three years now - just never post ) , but we always come here to get filled in on all things Disney!
So knowing exactly what we wanted and were looking for i.e. VWL - August UY and 170 points - it was an immediate reflex!
It is all sinking in - DAY TWO!!!!

Good luck with ROFR. You sure have great taste in resorts. :) It took us 8 days to pass ROFR back in Jan. Our first trip home is 110 days away. Not that I'm keeping track or anything

Do you always pay the 10% down? Just curious - tss reduced downpayment a bit - so made it more manageable...
