This morning we headed off early to get to Epcot for opening and we made it there by about 9am and headed straight over to Soarin’ to get our Fast Passes. It was then time to go right across Future World to Fast Track!

As there was time to spare before our FP’s for Soarin’ we took a wander into the butterfly house.

Soarin’ as ever had quite a queue so we were glad of our FP’s and after this had a quick snack of chocolate brownie and chocolate milk.

As we walked towards World Showcase I stopped to take a piccie of Stitch.

Then a kind photopass CM offered to take our picture with my camera.

Next was the walk around WS to see all the different topiaries. Looking back SSE looked great behind the monorail line and the flower display.

First off was the Peter Pan and Hook display.

Then it was Pluto playing near his kennel.

As we got to the start of WS we saw Donald and Daisy plus Pluto in beach scenes.

There was also a good parrot topiary.

It was then time for a quick look back in the butterfly house and approached it from the other direction and saw some great topiaries of Minnie and a butterfly.

Also on the back of the Stitch topiary was a great sign for the Flower and Garden Festival.

As we got back to the walkway to FW the skies again darkened and we headed off to the Land as we had a further FP for Soarin’ that I got when we came off the first time.

After Soarin’ due to the weather we took the Living with the Land tour which is always interesting.

During the boat tour we head the thunder outside and by the time we came out it had cleared over a bit but there were still rain showers about, although we made it back to the bus stop without getting too wet.

As we were hungry we had lunch of French bread and meats on the balcony before a quick visit to the pool.

Tonight we met DBIL and DSIL at Victoria Falls for a drink before our meal at Boma. Once again Boma failed to disappoint and we had a good meal. The curried chicken soup was on the menu :thumb:

It was then time to head off to bed as tomorrow we were going to PBH for the night to get FOTL access at US as it was Memorial day on Monday.

I love the Living with the Land boat ride, this time I realised how different the display is when you go at a different time of year.

Your pics of the topiaries are great! I have told DH to get his shears out! :)

We've never had this at Boma, but Theresa (Latte Lover) made it for us once (serving it as a curry with the peanut butter rice) and now it's become a favourite supper dish. Here are the recipes (which I adjust for quantity):

Curried chicken soup (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/dining/recipes/curriedchicken.asp)

Peanut butter rice (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/dining/recipes/pbrice.asp)

Hope you are feeling okay.

Lovely report Claire. I have never been to Epcot at this festival time so it was very interesting to see all the displays. Thank you for taking the time to post your lovely photos.
