View Full Version : Hard Rock Pool Renovation..

I read a while back that HRH was closing their pool for a short amount of time, (the poster was actually quite irritated, since it was going to occur during their week they were there) and I assume they are done now...Does anyone know what they actually did ?

Just a few more days !!!!

We just got back today from HRH. I didn't notice anything. From my understanding they drained it, did necessary repairs, painted, and repaired tiles, and refilled it. It was up and running great!!

Not so for us. Pool was up and running but slide was not. No mention of this at check in despite having a conversation about the pool. We had been at RPR 2 days before and checked into HR as an extra treat talked about it at check in an about why we were back at Hr and not RPR. No mention. Girls were gutted that the slide wasn't working . That was 2 weeks ago unfortunately!!!

Was the slide working while you were there? My dd5 will be so upset if it's not working. We will be checking in on Sunday.

Oh yes...You will probably still see my daughters footprints going up the walkway to the top of the slide. She used that slide so much I think she left a permanent path. :rotfl2:

thank goodness! I was a bit scared!

champdds - have fun! We'll probably pass by each other at some point.

It was me that posted originally....

Pool was actually closed for 8 days, the slide for 11 days and the cabanas for 12 days. The pool was repainted, retiled, completely cleaned. New sand was put in and generally there was a big clean up of everything.

At the weekend without the pool, guests were coming to check in then walking out and driving straight to Portofino.

It's all back to normal now.

I assume you stayed at the HRH as planned...did they offer a better rate to switch for the others...

Good to hear the pool is back to normal. We check-in on the 20th.
