Bus Tours to LA/Hollywood

I'm considering doing a tour of LA and/or Hollywood during my DL stay. Anyone have any experience and opinions on Starline Tours or Gray Line Tours?

Don't pay full price. On site, there will be folks offering substantial discounts.

GrayLine, for example, leaves from Graumann's Chinese Theatre. In stead of buying your tickets in advance, just go and see what the ticket sellers are offering. If you want one of those cheesy (but informative and beautiful) jeep tours of the 'Stars Homes' - then just see what they are offering on the street. PS, there is a lot of animosity in LA to tourists who go on these tours, so don't be surprised if you get the finger from cars passing by.

Sorry, but that was my experience, and the day I did the jeep tour, I saw other jeeps being honked at, etc. You've seen celebrities doing the same to papparazzi, well the 'tour to the stars homes' folks sometimes go overboard in trying to get the celebrities to come out of their home or to react to them. The folks in Beverly Hills and Bel Air find these tours a nuisance. I took the tour and enjoyed it a great deal, but just don't be surprised if you are the subject of some rude behavior.

I did the Starline Tour of LA with my 11 year old son and we both enjoyed it. We didn't notice any rude behavior at all.
