Sorry--I just lurk a lot. Do you just "join" and try to get pages done in your books? If this is so, I will join. Don't know how it will go for me. I am not so good at making pages. I have seen some really beautiful pages posted. I was just trying to get pictures organized. I have "played" at scrapping off and on for years. Anyway, I have made 3 pages so far this month, but I am the one with the glue problem and the pages are wrinkled, so you might not want to count them. :confused3 I will get to the store later today for different glue and maybe get more pages done. Wow does that seem SO far away! Good to "see" you, too. I hope I'll be able to go to GASC next summer. The dates aren't posted yet, but if it's the same weekend as this year I won't be able to go. We have a family wedding to go to up in Connecticut the first weekend of June and I don't think I can skip it for scrapbooking. :rolleyes: Keeping my fingers crossed that it's the next weekend!

You just join in and let us know when you finish pages- NEE will keep up with how many you are doing. The point is to encourage each other to actually finish pages and albums. You don't have to post any of them but you can. Some people get just a few done in a month other get 100 or more but everyone is a winner if they get some pages scrapped.

Once you have a single number for any pages in Sept not counted and those for Jan-August then post the number on the Annual sticky at the top of the page so that Buffy or SIOH can add it to the annual total.

40 pages - 80th birthday Album (including interviewing the subject, and collecting input from 20 other people.)
20 page 6X6 cruise album - (it started as a kit by Seaulater, but I took liberties, and it's completed)
(26 pgs)130 fish extender gifts - cricutted film strips with 4 photos on a backing, laminated - I guess I'd count 4 as a page - eh say 5, it comes out more even
2 "my favorite photos" Library card books - they should count as at least a page a piece, don't you think?


Oh, and then there's CKC . . . completed so far

10 page Disney Board book, from a kit - with doodling done, but no photos (not sure if I'll use it or gift it)
10 page heavy cardstock book - not exactly chipboard, but heavier than regular cardstock - with pull outs, minibooks, flipdowns, tag books. It's cute -all inked and beribboned, it was worth the frustration. Again, no photos, for the same reason.


I'll have to count the pages I completed that were 'just' pages. Oh, and the pages I've done in my Christmas cookbook. . . gee. I got done more this year than I thought :goodvibes I'm HAPPY!

This is just a way for us to keep a tally for ourselves of how many pages we get completed, and to encourage/motivate each other to continue working on our scrapbooks. We do a challenge like this every month to keep track and then our monthly totals get tallied into our annual total (which is a sticky at the top of the board).

I'm not sure it's really challenge worthy because it's so simple but I'll probably post it anyhow just because it was the challenge that inspired me to finally get it done. It's not one of my typical layouts - no journaling, no stickers, do-dads or other accessories. Just a series of 3 pictures that I've had prints of forever now (taken when my 5 year old was 2) and needed to do something with. :rotfl: I figured the series of pictures spoke for themselves and I found papers in my stash that worked really well with them. I mercilessly ripped some cardstock then ripped another piece for good measure and put them together in a way that resembles a scrapbook page. It works for me and I finally got those pictures in my DD's album.:woohoo:

Any page that was done for the challenge is challenge-worthy! And I'm sure it's terrific. Now you know I just *have* to see it what with the merciless paper ripping and all. I have to see how you tamed that layout into submission. ;)

DH will be away this weekend (all day Saturday & all day Sunday) playing Army, so i sent an evite to my friends & I'm having scrapping all day (starting @ 1pm) on Saturday at my house. Everyone knows I'm trying to get DS #1's 1st year done before DS #2 shows up in mid-January. Any suggestions? I've never hosted one at my house before. They can come & go as they please - open house type thing. I asked them to bring food to share. Any ideas would be great. I have another one planned for November.

You can never have too much table space. Also don't have out stuff (stamps, paper cutter, cricket machine, etc.) that you don't want to share. If you're very possesive about something (I am with my stamp pads) then just put them up and you won't be stressed out.

Mostly people just wanted to get together and have an excuse to scrap. I'm sure it will go great!

I have been busy scrapping our December D.W. trip and have finally completed one scrapbook. However, it was only for the first 2 days of our 11 day trip. :rolleyes1 I may never get done. ;) So.....that would be 9 pages done in the month of Oct. I will try to post pages if anyone would like to see them.
I'm currently working on our Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine, from last summer, and then I will go back to scrapping Disney.
