New to codes and have a couple questions

I know a little about codes. I know they are hard to come by, but can save you a bundle! I have signed up with anything Disney in hopes of getting my name on their list. I answered random survey takers questions in the parks too, just for good measure. I have called WDW to ask if there was a code atached to my name a couple of times. Each time the CM I have talked to has either acted like he or she did not know what I was talking about or was rude. :guilty: Do these really exist? Have you gotten a code this way? :confused3

Is there a pattern or cycle for when codes come out? I am planning a trip for 9/09. Is there anytime I should be wishing extra hard? :goodvibes

If previous year are any indication, September is a good time for free dining for sure. When a General Public code comes out you will read about it here, the ones sent to people are random, who knows how they get those? Also, we got free dining for our upcoming trip using the Disney Visa discount, if you don't have one it would be a good idea to get one, I know no one wants to get more credit nowadays, but it's the way we got our previous 2 package deals as well. But I think you will probably have a good chance of getting free dining next year ... Good Luck...
