I am off to the Park this weekend, I don't want to take too much cash with me, can credit cards be used in the shops and restaurant to pay for things. Do you know if there are any minimum spends?

Thanks

Credit cards can be used, many people on the forum here have used them without any problem.

If you need extra cash there are plenty of cash machines around in the park :)

Credit cards can be used in most restaurants and shops. I think there was a minimum spend in the shops, but as far as I can remember it was pretty low. If you're staying in a Disney hotel, you can leave a credit card imprint at the hotel when checking in - they then give you a payment card that makes spending even easier (it also acts as an ID card for using other facilities).

Don't forget to use your Annual Passport for discounts too (if you have one).

Have a great time,

Hi continuitygirl and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1477038), DIS posting guidelines can be found here (http://www.wdwinfo.com/guidelines.htm).

We used our Nationwide credit card almost exclusively for purchases. Can't remember what the minimum spend was but since I happily switch £1.35 in Tesco I'd say it was not a high minimum € spend :)

One thing I would do though is check whether your bank will charge you for using your card. I didn't think about this and paid by card for a few things being charged £1.50 a time. So if you're thinking about spending a low amount it might not be worth it.
