For those of you who have camped in a loop with cable TV, I'm wondering if it includes the resort TV that is at the hotels on property. My kids love the classic disney cartoons at night and watch the promo (over and over againpopcorn:: ) in the morning. I would love to be able to continue this tradition when we camp in 09.

Yes, you do! There is also a specific channel devoted to activities at the Fort. It just shows announcement slides and plays classic Disney tunes, but you will also receive the general Disney Resorts promos on another channel as well.

The cable is the same line up as at the other resorts.

Along the lines of the TV question.... does anyone know if our Older ( non-digital TV) we have in the camper, will work with Disney's cable system at Ft. Wilderness? After February of course. I have been told our digital cable at home will take care of it here but that has a box.

There is 2 things that disney can do for the Feb. turn over. That is 1) put a digital box on every TV. or 2) continue to broadcast in analog format. I am going to say that they will choose #2. Working for a major cable company, I can tell you that we will be still broadcasting analog channels. It will cost us money to take the digital and make it anolog but there are to many people that can not afford to go "digital".

We were at the Fort in Loop 300 the first weekend in October and were getting only a few channels and none of the resort channels. When my wife asked at the Meadows, she was told that we were supposed to be getting all of the channels including the resort channels. I think there are two possible explanations: they are working on the cable in the loop or had an issue with just our site; we had some warranty work done on our Airstream at an idiot Airstream dealer repair shop that screwed up our cable. I think the latter is probably the case since the warranty work was to hook up the satellite hook-up that wasn't connected at the factory and the dealership is an idiot dealer. Unfortunately, they are the only dealer in Georgia. Next time I'll be paying for any repairs I need and I'll take it out of state!

Does anyone know if the channels run loops anywhere in the resort? We will be tenting and not bringing a t.v. - however, it sounds like there is helpful information that runs on the loop.

Thanks! :flower3:
