So I went to HD on Saturday, snapped up a few (OK, lots more than a few lol) Mickey heads, of several colours, including Alien Green :thumbsup2
I cut out all the Mickey heads and now I'm trying to figure out how to attach the green ones to my park bag. Keep in mind that I'm absolutely NOT crafty, so simple instructions are best LOL I was thinking I'd hole-punch them, thread a ribbon and tie it on to my bag zipper, but I'm not sure what the DIS norm is for where to hole-punch it (on one ear, through the top of his head (ouch lol), etc.
Also, what do you do with all the other colours of Mickey heads after you cut them out?
Thanks for your help :flower3:

Hi there.
I kept the green mickey head on the backing but attached a plain white piece of paper to the back with our name/address etc on it so it is like a baggage tag for the luggage. Then I took this and had it laminated at staples and then brought it home and cut them out. They laminate a sheet at a time so I had 6 of these on one sheet. I cut them out around the mickey head thingy and then punched a hole into the laminate without hurting the mickey head part. Then I attached these to our luggage!!
You could do the same to attach to stroller or whatever and change what you write on the back of the mickey head. You could put your resort name or whatever. I had also written Caribbean Beach Resort on mine as that was where we were staying. The next time I did ones for Port Orleans and this time I will do red christmas ones for our stay at Coronado this christmas!
fun.
anal but fun.

Dumb question, but when you cut the laminate do they not come apart?

They don't come apart, at least mine didn't. LOL
I lift a bit of a margin around the head when I cut it so it still sticks.
I punched a hole in the head and attached it to my bags with a small cable tie to it...also purchased at the dollar store. Of course, this way is rather semi-permanent. To get it off, I'll have to cut the cable tie but cable ties are so cheap.

Thanks for the replies! :goodvibes In an effort to avoid having to laminate the heads, I glued two LGMHs together back to back, then cut them out. Where on the heads should I put the hole?
Also, any ideas on what to do with the mess of other coloured Mickey heads? LOL
Thanks muchly! :cheer2:

You really ought to think about laminating them. It protects them turning into mush if it rains. You can get laminting pouches from the dollar store...there's enough to make luggage tags (from the other coloured heads) for your family and the neighbours. LOL

I love those pouches. I glued two together, on one side I put some stickers and on the other side I put my cell number and than I laminated them with the pouches from the dollar store. I put them on the diaper bag, stroller, and kids lanyards. Anything that could get lost. I also had a couple of dis'ers notice them.

I put my LGMH in my clear vinyl park pass pouch. They have so many neat things you'll see on the pin trading carts. I got a nice one w/ a shiny silver Mickey that extends (I can't think of the term) on a retractable line, and it has a silver clip too. Speaking of anal I also used a LG caribner clip to ensure nothing came apart.
I only saw one other lady w/ the LGMH - on the ferry boat from the TTC to the MK. She and her DH and DD had just gone to the Spirit of Aloha at the Poly. She said they were staying at the Pop and there was going to be a whole DIS meet there last week!
Maybe next time I'll have better luck spotting DIS'ers. I never did find a good way to "wear" the LGMH to the pool @ CBR or the water parks. LOL.

You can also buy mac tac/shelf paper at the dollar store. Make sure you are buying the clear one not the white. I also leave a bit of space around the edge of what I am cutting out so that it doesn't peel apart.
I don't even cut out the LGMH, just peel it from the backing and glue it to another and then mac tac together.
You can use the colored ones for luggage or for decorating at the resort.
