Has anyone won after just sending in a few postcards? I hear about people sending in postcards every day for months and months, and only a few winning anything. I've only sent in 16 postcards so far (4 days worth for my family of 4), and was wondering if I should keep sending them in, or just take my chances on what I've sent in so far. Anyone have beginners luck?

I think that I had only been sending in post cards for a couple of weeks when I came home and had a box on my porch....it was DREAM EARS!!! I have never won anything before in my life!!:wizard:

If I ever win anything, hopefully a big box of stuff, I'm giving most if not all to children in need. So thats why I hope I win something.

I send a card Mon, Wed & Fri (3 per week).

In July I got a set of ears, got another in Sept and one today (Oct).

My youngest son wore the ears this year and got all kinds of attention from the cast members. He called it his lucky hat because he was picked for Jedi Training Academy and drove the "Remote control" car in Lights Motor Action.

I figure the year is winding down so fewer people will send cards in, better chances.

One more set then we'll all have one for next year. :goodvibes

Dream Ears?

They are the standard Mickey hat with white ears, a blue hat & The Year of a Million Dreams emblem on it.

Although the last hat I got has silver ears, clouds on the hat and 2008 on the back.

I just sent in 3 post cards. I am hoping for Dream Ears for my DS4. Now that we are home for a couple of months he has decided that he wants a set of Mickey ears. He would be SO HAPPY if got a set of ears. :earsboy: I would be SO HAPPY if I could give him some. A set for DD7 would just be icing on the cake. :earsgirl: I wish for pixie dust!

you said you sent in entry forms in an envelop. So you are saying that you did not send in postcards? I might have to try that instead. I have one 2 sets of the pins/lanyards and 7 different sets of the ears! how nice it would be to win a vacation. Just thankful for what I do get!

I just came home from picking my kids up at school and we had three boxes waiting for us - 3 pairs of Mickey ears! One for each son, and one for my hubby. Notice how I was left out!!

I was jumping for joy on my front porch!!!

We haven't sent all that many postcards, maybe 25 or so since July...and we just received 2 pair of ears today (one for each kid, thank goodness). The 4 year old was sooo excited.

At least we finally won something, so I don't feel like a loser anymore. we do have one more trip yet this year, so there is a chance we could win something more in the parks...but honestly the ears were enough to make us feel like winners today. :goodvibes

Can someone please give me the address to enter the postcard sweepstakes? I have always thought about doing it but never remember to ask. What do you write on the postcard and can you use a index card instead? Thank you.

I used a business card maker program. Printed our info out. Put it in a small envelope, then printed mailing labels, put disney stamps on it, and away it went. won pins/lanyards and the ultimate, the DVC.

2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway
PO Box 8650
Elmhurst IL 60126
Back;
From; Name (first, last)
Address
Phone number (xxx-xxx-xxxx)
Date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy)

You can put your information in a envelope, but it costs more than a post card. You can buy pre-stamped postcards at the post office.

If you use postcards, I advise;
- you right "From" before your name because I got one returned to me because they read the wrong side.
- don't write "date of birth" or "Phone number"

From;
John Doe

I am almost 100% sure you need to be 18+ to enter.

Why would you put Disney Dreams Giveaway? Thats not what the rules say. I have heard stories of people putting a heading, and getting them back. You should only address the envelope like this:

P.O. Box 8650
Elmhurst, IL 60126

Only if you are in the UK do you put the Disney Dreams Giveaway title line. Also, its PER PERSON, not household. So, you can send in one in everyone's name in your house, per day. And, I do not think age matters, as they award the prize to anyone, regardless of age. If you do win a trip, DVC, etc, its in the parents name until the child reaches legal age.

I remember seeing in the rules, it did just say P.O. Box 8650, Elmhurst, IL 60126, but It looks odd and I've gotten three hats so they must be getting there.

I guess I'll start sending out more than one card a day.

Thanks :thumbsup2

As DVC winners do they let you pick where you want to stay or do they choose for you? I won last year sending in post cards a lanyard and my son won ears but this year so far nothing.:confused3

I started sending in post cards starting some time in the middle of 2007 and continue to this day. I maybe have missed 30 day out of that years time. I've won 3-4 sets of dream ears. Actually I won a new set yesterday! Woot. Also, I have always put "Disney Dreams Giveaway" on the address and have never had a problem.

We won 220 points at Saratoga Springs. Thats our "home" resort, so we can book there at 11 months. Any other resorts its a 7 month rule. We went to SSR in may, are going this december, then next May to Beach Club.

Best of luck, here is some pixie dust :wizard:

One for each person in the family is what we did.

I guess it probably doesn't hurt to put Disney, or dreams, but, I did hear some people get the envelopes/cards back:confused3

Remember, the way winners are chosen is by a computer. It spits out the winners information as supplied on the card/envelope.

I still think the Disney stamps was our good luck! :)

You can use the Disney Dreams title. I have used the title from the US since last year and have won ears on several occasions. I have never had my postcards returned to me. :) I don't think it hurts either way.

Some folks on other boards reported that they got their entries back, stating no such address, person, etc.....Someone else said Disney is really strict on doing EXACTLY how they list it...Who knows...Obviously it worked for you!! Probably does not really matter, as long as they get there!:cool1:

You've all inspired me to try again! I sent about 25 postcards in the spring and summer and never won anything. Wish me luck and pixie dust!
Does it end Dec. 31?

I put 2008 Disney Dream Giveaway
PO BOX 8650
Elmhurst IL 60125

Won my 3rd set of Ears yesterday!! They came by some kind of courier that left it at my front door. It wasn't UPS, because I know the guy and he puts our things on the back porch or in our garage. I remember I used to sign a certified letter, then it was just a regular pick up at the POst office. I was surprised when I saw the box on my front porch.
