Extra Magic Hours...

Hello...
I am new to this and my 1st trip is in January 09....very excited!

Can someone answer this for me? MK has extra magic hours (evening) on 1/18. The WDW website says they will be open from 9a-11p. Are the extra hours after 11p? Or is the MK just closing at 8p and extra hours are 8p-11p? Just confused and maybe it's in front of me and I don't see it! Thanks in advance!

the calender states the regular hours. extra magic hours are always 3 hours after closing. so in this case magic kingdom is open until 2am.

Be aware that during EMH not *everything* is open. They have the big ticket rides and attractions going: the mountains, POTC, Dumbo, etc. However some of the less popular ones: jungle cruise, Aladdin's carpets, Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree will close. I was a little bummed when I could not ride the beloved JC in the dark! :confused: EMHs are lots of fun though! The parks take on an all new sense of magic at night. :thumbsup2

Wow, I don't think I have ever seen the MK open until 11pm as a regular time .....

There are numerous times during differnt peak season weeks, like Christmas, Easter and 4th of July that MK is open until Midnight and has extra magic hours until 3 a.m.

EXTRA HOURS ARE WORTH IT! So, definitely stay at a WDW resort hotel!

Yes, over Easter break last year, we were at MK until 1:00am - crowds didn't really thin out till after 12:00. DH and DS were there until 3:00 - could walk on any ride that was open over and over.
