who is your provider? I had tried with my Telus Samsung phone and i can't follow it. I was told that when i get a text message, to save it, but i have no option to save the text code. Does anyone have a Telus and have been able to get free ringtones into there phones. :headache:

I've got an old phone...and want to upgrade to one that has bluetooth (Bell's my provider) BUT I had heard that newer phones are software locked now so that you can't do your own ringtone. Canada now considers ringtones NOT exempt from royalties or something like that.

I'd love to have a variety of ringtones from the one I currently use (I made myself) and the monorail one....

Anybody know anything about this or has a newer phone that let us make our own ringtones?

I love the phone not only that but you can download the ringtones and hook up your phone to the PC with the supplied data cable and transfer the ringtone that way.

You can actually dowload the ringtone to the computer and use the data cable to transfer the ringtone to the phone store it in teh phones memory not on teh micro SD card then go to sounds and ringtones. You will then choose where you want the ringtone to come from. Choose dowloads or phone then the location you have it saved. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Since you offering ;) , i have no idea how to use these? Where do you get the Data cables? I tried the manual way of getting them to my phone, but the options will not allow to use with my Samsung phone(which is only 7 months old) So if i can figure out how to get them from my computer to Cell and directions, i would be thrilled

That song is as incidious (sp?) as It's a Small World. I can never knock it out of my head after being in there. (I have to admit, I fell asleep this last trip...)

:sad2: I finally figured out how to open it on my phone but when I go to download it, it says that that page cannot be displayed.

Does that have something to do with it being an MP3 file?? I sent myself the test one and it worked fine.....(the happy birthday song)

I downloaded a few others and they download but when I go to play them, there is nothing there. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I would love the intro to Wishes...starlight star bright - first star I see tonight....

or Fantasmic or spectromagic would be cool

Send the links if you figure it out since I finally figured out how to do this!

DH thinks I've completely lost it!!

Oh I am laughing, I bought the 4 Parks, One World cd on our trip (after making DH go on CofP) and when that song comes on he says, "Next song!" :lmao:
He said once on the (lonnnnnnnnnng) CofP was enough.

I have a program that allows me to extract portions of MP3's to make ringtones from them so I can do this wil all my Disney tunes and we have almost all teh attractions on the PC.

That would make sense, as I have downloaded and watched the tones enter my phone, and then I go to play them and there is nothing.
You can however download directly from their site and pay for the ringtone, but I can't find anything really disney on there. :sad1:

i know that is the bugger, if they offered them i would gladly pay to have a Disney ringtone, but they don't have anything like it:confused:

For those with Telus I would contact the phone manufacturer and ask them if there is a way to over ride the program to allow the downloads.
