Hi,

On a recent trip to Boston we had a problem with the shower floor and bathroom floors. They were soooo slippery I had to put towels everywhere so we wouldn't slip and hurt ourselves. Even more important as we get older I'm afraid.

That tiny towel they leave on the edge of the tub that is supposed to be a mat is a joke.

I sort of remember the Disney deluxes being like that too but it has been a few years. Anyone have a workable solution? Bathroom rugs are just not an option...too bulky/heavy to bring. Even bringing a big beach towel wouldn't work for very long.

I'd be interested in hearing creative solutions, especially for the shower.

Bath mats are cheap and you can leave it behind when you check out of the hotel. I rarely travel and never thought of bringing one but that is what I would do if I was not a last minute packer, lol. I hate slip sliding across hotel bathrooms like at the Marriot when I was getting out of the tub and was throwing towels on the floor.

EVEN a thin cheap rubber outdoor mat would work they are often seen at everything a dollar store for a dollar easy to roll up put in luggage an can be left behind. NOT the most decorative thing to use but cheap enough
