How good do you think our chances are?

We're still waiting to close on our VWL purchase but am so anxious to make reservations. Has anyone recently reserved the week before Thanksgiving (preferably at VWL)? Just wondering how good our chances will be for getting it...Thanks!!

I don't think you'll have a problem if you are talking about "jersey" week. If you are talking about Thanksgiving week it may be harder.

No, it's not the actual week of Thanksgiving. I wasn't aware that "Jersey" week was the week before. We were there once over Veteran's Day and noticed all the people from New Jersey (do they have school vacation that week or something?)

The New Jersey Teachers have a convention/annual meetings every November. This year it's November 7 & 8. Schools are not in session those two days and apparently, many NJ families choose to spend that time in WDW. Quite a few take their kids out of school for the entire week. "Jersey" Week is the DIS term for that time. This year, Veteran's Day is the Monday following that week, so some may extend their vacations through that Monday as well.

If you are talking about the week of 11/17, I think you have a good chance of getting a ressie, especially if you close before the 7 month window opens. Good Luck!
