Layout Challenge #3

I get to hostess this challenge. The prize will be homemade and Disney related. Your layout, however, does NOT need to be Disney related. But can be if you want to. :thumbsup2
This will also be a 10 day challenge. Post your layouts until the morning of October 7th. I pull a name out a hat after dinner.

Here is your challenge. Using the following sketch borrowed from the website STUCK?! and the word "LOVE" as your title, make a one page layout.

To explain for those who never worked off a sketch before:
The background square is 12x12, but you can use whatever works in your book.
The green rectangle represents a different paper than your background - can be solid, patterned, fabric, etc.
The yellow & orange rectangles can be ribbon, paper, fiber, etc.
The butterfly & flowers are where you should put your own idea/themed embellishments. These can be chipboard, primas, rhinestones, etc.

Your finished product should kinda almost possibly resemble the sketch when you are done. This one was from their archives - June, if you want to see what their folks came up with.

I don't see why not. The ones submited on that website show them as landscape & portrait and some look nothing like the sketch. :rotfl2:

You can use as many photos as you wish, but the overall area should stay in the proportions of the sketch.

OOOH!! Thanks Vanyel.. since I can use a 5x7 I may change up my idea.. I have my patterned paper adhered and my title on!!! Now, I can test my 2 LOs and see which photo/photos I like better!!!

I even had to sort through all my ribbon and get it organized so I could find what I was looking for!!! DS7 came and helped out w/ the little bits of ribbon we put in a plastic container so we can see the stash to utilize it!!!

I hope to have this one done tomorrow..but for now, I have to go clean DS7's room for his new bedroom furniture that DH and the big boys are going to pick up!!! He gets a new set of bunk beds and dresser!!! YEAH!!! This is the first new furniture the kid has ever had.. he got all the used stuff since he was the baby!!! Now, it's his turn!!! He is thrilled!!!

OK, back to scrappin!!!

Here's my layout. It's very close to the template - I didn't quite plan it that way but it worked. It's from my daughter's wedding where my parents danced with each other for the first time after 45 years of being married. I got both of them out on the floor to dance with me, which was another first, then they danced. They actually had a good time. Some of the flowers are pop dotted but you can't tell in the picture. I know I wasn't very creative with the title but....

Here is my layout. These are not colors I normally use so I'm not sure if I like it or not. The best part is I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this pics (they are my mom's) and I used PP that was a scrap and the flowers are from a swap, and the "catchin' some rays" is from a velium book I hardly use. I'm really trying to use the scrap crap I have and not buy anything I don't REALLY need.

AWM - love the layout and the embellishments are great. Reminds me of a trip to wdw where my dds were more interested in the pool than the park, actually it reminds me of a lot of trips where water was more important than the tourist attractions.

Okay, I had this layout laid out all day and every time I would walk by I would change something. Finally I just said - glue it down and be done. I was thinking I'd frame this one and hang it in our room.

I go to the cape for a week or 2 every summer. I thought the pics looked like the Cape. Oh a Cape Cod crop sounds wonderful!
I usaullay bring a bunch oif scrapping stuff with me to Capoe Cod and my DDs and I spend a night or two scrapping!

It is DD during her dolphin swim at Discovery Cove this past April. It was truly the thrill of a lifetime for her.

I don't usually work on just a one page layout so I am giving her this framed as a gift to hang in her room..................P
