50% OFF THEME PARK TICKETS FOR YOUR FRIENDS & RELATIVES Now - December 20, 2008
Enjoy Universal Orlando® with your family and friends at half the price!

2-Park Premier and 2-Park Preferred Annual Passholders receive 50% off
1-Day, 2-Park Tickets and 2-Day, 2-Park Tickets for up to 6 guests at any front gate ticket window.

For more information or to purchase your tickets NOW before time is up, call 1-866-PASS-4-FUN

I got this in my recent passholder email. I was wondering if any of the experts know if these tickets expire or are dated? Since if appears you can buy them by phone, it's obvious that they aren't limited to a certain day (like when you buy them at the gate to be used that day). I was thinking of getting a few for a couple of trips for next year when we have extra family members with us. A 2 day ticket would be perfect for them. I had thought of getting them a powerpass, but there's no guarantee I'll get them back there within 12 months.

I'm not sure how they are doing it this year since you can buy them by phone. But I wouldn't count on buying tickets and holding them indefinately.

I ordered these the last time they were 50% off and there is no expiration date on the ticket. I also asked the service rep about an expiration date, and he said there was not one. So unless they have changed within a couple of weeks, these tickets do not expire.

So it may be possible to buy these tickets and hold them to use in 2009??? I'll call, but with company here for the weekend, I'll have to wait until I have more time....maybe when I get to work on Monday!

Not sure about upgrading them at the gate. But what would you want to upgrade them to? I would imagine you would still only get credited the amount you paid for the ticket since its barcoded. I cant see how you would come out ahead on trading these in for any other ticket.

We are going the last week of October, so if you want to hold off on buying these tickets I can ask my friend to enter the park with this ticket ahead of me and report back if they ask to see my AP or not.

I was planning on buying an annual pass for our upcoming trip. If I purchase online, then call, can I order the 50% off tics? Or do I need to actually come to the park to activate it to be eligible for this perk?

TIA!

Does anyone know if the 2-day tickets have to be consecutive days, or if the individual days can be used at any time?

This sounds like a great option and I'd like to pick up a few to have on hand for guests. But if I bought one, for example, for my mother, I know she'd only want to visit one day per trip and maybe save the second day until another visit (maybe a year later).

I was just told that the passholder can order them on the phone and place the order in the name of the person who will pick up the tickets. Then that person will need ID and confirmation number at guest services to get them. She also said that they must be purchased by the end of this month.

Wouldn't it be cheaper for friends and family to just purchase the $95 tickets? At $42.99 perday (50% of 1 day 2 park) at two days its paid for itself with the other ticket???

You can buy the 2 day 2/park ticket for only $58. Our friends and family are only interested in going one day, so paying $42.99 works great for them. We may convince them to go 2 days next summer, so will be getting the 2 day tickets for $58.

Can anyone confirm that you can use Universal Bucks (or whatever the correct term is) to buy tickets? I was going to buy two of the 2 day 2 park passes tomorrow. We have agreed to take a timeshare tour that promises us $100 in Universal Bucks. The person signing us up assured me they are good for tickets. I'll be disappointed if that's not true.

She also said that they must be purchased by the end of this month.

Is this correct? I don't still have the email that announced this special, but I was sure it was good up to mid- or end-December. The reason I remember is that we will be there in December (we have premier APs) and may have some friends visiting for a few days.

When I received this email I remember being excited that it was valid for the time our friends may visit so we could take them to Universal for 2 days at a great price.

Nothing is certain yet about their trip, so we planned to buy at the gate when the time comes.

Went by the park tonight to buy our discounted tickets before leaving town tomorrow morning. Made the mistake of going to the regular ticket window. The girl there said she could only sale me discounted tickets with today's date. None that did not expire right away.

She directed me to Guest Services, where the young lady was familiar with the tickets, assured me twice that the don't expire until six days after the first use, and did take my vouchers for the Universal Bucks. She had to trade the vouchers for the bucks first, then I gave all but $5 of them right back to her.

$30 out of pocket and my two older kids will be able to join us there at New Years. Mission accomplished.

I overheard an employee at the next window trying to buy a ticket for HHN tonight for her husband. She was told it would be $59 and some cents. That seems like a lot of money for the guest of an employee.

SheilaThat's true but since HHN is a hard ticket event...they don't discount much...except for passholders that is. ;)

I can't get logged into the website. Must the pass be used at least once prior to being able to log into the site? Yes, you need to use the pass once for entry into the park to validate the AP. Does your AP have your name on it or is it a ticket you need to redeem at the park?

I'm sorry I didn't see the question about UO $ to buy tickets until today. The answer is yes, they can be used for ticket purchase.

I would like to buy some of the 2 day park tickets for my brother's trip in November 2008.

My own trips are planned for March 2009 and August 2009.

Could I somehow buy the preferred annual pass for myself by phone or online and also purchase these tickets for him to collect at will call?

How does flex pay work? I don't mind having my annual pass activated now, but I won't be there in person until March 2009.

Is there a limited number of tickets a pass holder can buy?

Thanks for any advise.

Thanks for any advise. I believe the AP must be activated at the park before you can purchase AP discounted tickets. The flex-pay is set up to take a designated amount out of your checking account or credit card charge every month. The monthly rates are very reasonable but if you can afford to pay it all at one time, do that. Passholders are limited to up to six tickets per pass.

Just returned and wanted to post that I had no problem purchasing 2-day/2-park tickets for the family for next summer at the 50% AP rate. Seems things are different depending on who you talk to. DSIL called, I called both told can get passes for future. She just went and bought us 2 single day two park passes and a 2 day 2 park for another friend. The 2 day 2 park have no expiration but ours were for same day. She went back and had to talk to several people until getting a manger and the manager extended it for two weeks to accomodate our trip. Not sure if this was the ticket counter or at guest services. Just so everyone knows to check first.
