Hi all! Just got back this evening from 6 wonderful days at AKL. More than happy to field any questions you may have. I'm a bit on the tired side right now so I'll write a full review of my experiences in "Africa" a bit later. :D :D

We were in room #4553. We did have a Savannah View room and it was great. We were all the way in the back of the hotel by the barns and in the middle of the day when the animals head back to the barns, they tended to hang out in the savannah in front of our room. The crowds were not at all that bad...except for the Magic Kingdom. MK crowds were outrageous.

What is the pool like at AKL? Is there a water slide? I'm trying to decide whether to stay at CSR or AKL and my kids are big into pools and waterslides and I understand CSR has a big slide.

Karen1- The pool at the AKL is awesome! It's 11,000 square feet. It's also a zero-entry pool which is basically like what you would experience at the beach by walking into the ocean. It does have a water slide. There are also 2 hot tubs set around the pool area. Last, but certainly not least, there's a pool bar literally steps from the water. It's a fantastic pool!:D
