We already have the Deluxe Dining Plan. Haven't they extended the amount fo time the free dining is going on? If so, could I use the code and get a discount on my dining portion of the reservation?

Thanks in advance.

Since 2005, Disney has been offering the Free Dining promo for Magic Your way packages with a 3 night minimum and a 14 day maximum (Basic Dining Plan; 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 Snack per person per night) during the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. The free dining offer is usually announced during the first week of April. The first couple of days it will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public. The booking dates for this year for the general public were August 24 through September 20 and you had to book by June 22 to receive the FD offer. You have missed the opportunity to add the fall free dining code on to your upcoming trip.

I also want to clarify that the Fall free dining promo has not really been extended. A few weeks ago Disney Destinations sent out some emails that offered free dining pin codes for select dates in October, November and December. These emails were random, not for the general public, and the codes were non-transferrable. Last week Disney Visa send out a free dining code for their card holders for the same select dates in October, November and December. These pin codes are not part of the Fall Dining promotion.

Apparently, you have to have a Disney Visa to get the free dining offer for October. If you have a Disney Visa, it's probably worth checking, although you may incur some penalty for changing your existing package. It likely would still be cheaper to change though. Good luck.

Going by OP's ticker, they will not be in WDW until the end of October. The select free dining pin code emails and the Disney Visa offer are for stays most nights 9/28-10/11, 11/9-11/22, 12/14-12/20/08. Even with a Disney Visa the OP would not be eligible to get the free dining because they are not traveling during the open dates.

Ah I see. I knew I saw something about free dining in October. I forgot about the Disney Visa part.

When the codes came out in August, she was able to get us a discount. At least I'm assuming that's what the refund was for. Then, I rec'd another email
from her a couple of weeks ago that said we'd be getting more money back. That must have been for having a Disney Visa. Hmmm...I don't know. I'm just thankful that I get some money back!
