Transportation times from Fort Wilderness

Hopefully I have posted this in the right plance this time....

Does anyone have an estimated/actual time it takes to get from Ft. Wilderness Cabins to all the parks? I have a co-worker that is going Nov 1-8and they will have 3 kids (ages 10, 6 and 4). Are the buses the best way or should he consider renting a car? He is planning to take the 4 year old back for a nap each day. Thanks for the help.

Take the boat to MK, or to Contemporary for Monorail. Sorry, don't have the times. I'll let you know after we get back in a couple of weeks! ;)

I have only used the buses that go from FW to the parks, not the internal FW ones. The buses usually start to run before the parks open. I think 1/2 hour to an hour. Same with the boat to MK. There should be a welcome package that will have all of the info in it upon arrival.

The busses drive me nuts so we take our truck. But a guy I work with swears by the busses because he gets lost (not sure how with all the sings) Sorry I dont know all the bus times but taking your own truck 30 min's should get you to the front gate.(as long as you don't get lost.)

Just back from the fort and we only used disney transport. We found it to be good. The longest drive was to Animal Kingdom i think that took about 25 mins. The other parks were only about 15 mins away. We also never had to wait longer than about 10 mins for a bus apart from when we were going to typhoon lagoon, I think we had just missed one. We also used the internal buses and again these were fine although we often walked to the front area as it was ony a 10 min walk. To get to magic kingdom you go by boat and it was really nice, never busy and what a relaxing way to start the day

Likewise, the boat from MK to FW is a nice relaxing way to end a busy day!! :thumbsup2
