I wanted to get the Mama Melrose fantasmic dinner package on our dates, which is not available but Brown Derby is. Do you think it is worth 2 TS credits? Can anyone give me some advice on this? Thanks.

While I think the Brown Derby is a fine restaurant, I don't thinki t's worth two credits. First, because they have yummy appetizers...(not included on the plan) and secondly because I figure each TS credit to be worth about $25 which means $50 for 2 credits. The most expensive entree at the Brown Derby is $33, dessert $9 and a soda ???
Le Cellier's most expensive entree is $35, dessert $8....and it's only one credit. I'd rather eat there twice.

We just got back last night from WDW, and we booked the Fantasmic Dinner package at the Brown Derby with 2 credits, and everything from start to finish was FABULOUS. They comp-ed us all a free appetizer (which is not supposed to be included in the plan). Our server was phenominal. We were in a private room called the bamboo room, away from all the screaming children in the main dining area. The brown derby had the best food of our entire dining experience at WDW on the plan, and we ate at alot of the most desired restaurants. I would say it was absolutely worth the 2 credits for us. At the end of the trip, we still had meals to spare because they give you so much food at each meal.

we're planning on lunch at BD, but paying OOP - DH doesn't like the menu, so he'll basically be keeping me company there while i have my cobb salad and grapefruit cake - not worth 2 TS for that even!

I was pleasantly surprised by HBD my hubby not so much. I would not exchange 2TS if we had not had the DxDDP. The California Grill was also 2TS and the two just do not compare!

Hi,
The Brown Derby is not worth two credits. When you look at places like Jiko and the Yacthsman the Brown Derby is not in the same class.

A slightly unrelated question. Is the Brown Derby 2 TS credits even at Lunch where the average price for the entrees range from $14-$25?

yes credits dont change lunch to dinner. a table service is a table service no matter the time of day. 2credits is 2 credits no matter the time of day.
i would pay out of pocket for a lunch there.

We eat there everytime we go, but pay cash. My DH always get the Cobb Salad and I get the Caesar with chicken, a child meal for DD, drinks and one dessert and it is about $40.00 cash. We save our credits and use them elsewhere like the Yachtsman.
