I just called (September 23, 2008) to upgrade my present reservation for March 17-25, 2009 from a water view room to a Club level room.
A little bit of history ------- I originally reserved this under the regular rack rate. A few weeks ago, I called and changed it to the AAA rate. Well, today when I called to upgrade it to club level, I asked them about the Supersaver rates and she stated they were out!
Original rack rate for water view room: 304.00 / 324 on weekend
AAA rate for water view room: 273.60 / 250.90
My NEW Supersaver rate for CLUB level: 311.20 / 327.20
WOOOOOOHOOOOOO
How many nights do you have to do to qualify for the supersaver rate? we are hoping to do 3 nights at rpr august 09. Which discount is normally the best AAA, APH or Supersaver
Thanks
Burt

I didn't ask what the minimum was.
Supersaver rate was better than AAA in my case.
AAA 350.10 for club level
Supersaver 311.20 for club level
That's a significant difference (38.90 per night)

Could be a couple of problems. Either the rep you spoke to doesn't have the correct info, or one of the days you are booking (probably the first date), doesn't have AAA rate available.
A previous poster had a similar problem booking AAA rates for dates in July. Turned out the first day of her ressie had the whole hotel booked up. By switching days she was able to get the AAA rate.
Good luck! :goodvibes

where do you go to check super saver rates. Are the AAA rate, AP rate, and super saver rate usually better than the fan club rate?

I tried to go to that site to look up the AAA price for PRP and could not figure out how to do it. Could someone tell me what to go under to look up the room rates for RPR.
Thanks,
Stephanie

It is $219 for a standard room, AAA rate.
You can get the supersaver rates directly online. If you are staying for 3 or more nights, the rates will come up automatically. They are only available for stays of 3 or more nights. No special code is needed.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to go onto the site again. Do you have to put your AAA# in and sihn up, or can you just look the information up and under what do you look it up?

went back to the site and was able to find it this time. The AAA rate that they gave me was for 269.00 a night. Still wondering if it would be better to get the AP.

Remember, you don't have to have membership in AAA or an annual pass until you check in. You can just reserve a room now and then keep watching the rates and get the rates adjusted as they lower. Then before you go, make sure you have your membership or annual pass.

I just answered a similar question in a previous post. Here you go, hope this helps. You can book at regular rate now and then keep checking and change your reservation as needed. I started out in March for this December with a Super Saver rate of $259. In May AAA rate dropped to $226-went with it and just recently APH(annual passholder) went down to $144 a night. That's a significant difference from my original price! I only needed to upgrade one of my tickets to an APH to get the discount. Just keep checking.
