Are there some kind of signs on the menues that show what things you can order on the DDP, and whether they count as a Snack credit og CS credit?
Is it never complicated to figure out what you can get?

Any time you are in doubt, ask the counter person or the check-out person.
In general, if the item costs less than $4.00 for a single serving it is allowed as a snack on the dining plan. So for examply, a piece of cake listed at $3.49 would count as a snack at a counter service restaurant (or the dessert on your counter service meal.)
For counter service meals, if there's a "combo" platter or meal offered, it will count as a counter service meal. Example: hamburger & fries, soda and dessert is one counter service meal. But there are many choices in addition to burgers & fries.

counter services and snack carts do have a little purple square next to the foods that are covered. the square has the letter ddp and a soda on it.

at the table service restaurants, our experience was that every meal, the server asked if you were on the DDP and it you were, they immediately explained how it worked in that restaurant, and told you what was not included (like no appetizers on the regular Dining Plan.)
