Yeah, this will be my 5th CP (providing I'm accepted).:)

My recruiter recommends having at least 4-5 top choices (as it helps a lot). But make sure they are all roles you would be comfortable doing.

You actually don't have to audition for character attendant. The only role that requires an audition is performer. It's a great role though. So much fun.

As such, I'm going to apply for the Fall '09 CareerStart program. I live on the west coast up in Washington, so I've never been to Disney World. I wouldn't mind doing the program there, but my family goes to Disneyland every year (plane tickets are too expensive to go to WDW). I'd like to apply for Disneyland, but apparently it's harder(?), and if I didn't make it at DL, I wouldn't be able to apply for WDW in the fall as well, right? Plus, there's the question of housing at DL... I'm still undecided, but very excited!

me too! i wish there were roles in relation to the design group or character drawing lessons in DHS even. sadly though, there isnt:confused3

Yep, I sure did! I got to work one of the resorts too (Ft. Wilderness, for Backyard BBQ). I loved getting to work everywhere.

im starting to get wayyyy to nervous, and the 'waiting game' hasnt even started yet, and wont until january. but just hearing about people getting rejected is making me really really afraid and kind of hesitant to apply now.
but i know i still will, because its what ive always wanted.

its just that fear of rejection thats killing the excitement of it all!:confused3

Yes, there is that chance. But don't let it keep you from applying. The CP is such a wonderful experience. I'm sure it will all work out.:)

I think it's becoming harder to be accepted, because the CP has gotten a lot more popular. Word has gotten out, and more people are applying.

In my opinion, it's better to have more choices checked off (because if the roles were to fill up, they couldn't accept you since you only checked off a couple- not saying this will happen). But it is a good idea to apply early if you do only pick a couple.

Well, at Patterson/Chatham it is $10 difference between the 1/2 BR apartments and the 3/4 BR apartments. I'm pretty sure Vista is the same. Just be aware that housing is going up in Jan- the range is going to be $80 up to $105.

It is up to you. I find they both have pretty much the same info (I've done both). I most likely will be doing the online presentation again, since my school always has late presentations.

When we visit the parks, my family and i stay in a house in Clermont, right near the wdw property. ive been starting to think that the apartments might be in Clermont as well?? just because all of the stores that ive heard mentioned on here as being close to the apartments are all stores close to the house. though, it could just be coincidence! Just wondering, because i know that area really well, and it would be kind of comforting knowing that i was in the same area.
