We are staying the BWV before our cruise and afterwards. If we decided to take the cruise bus instead of drivin can we leave our car at BWV until we return? Has anyone done this? If we have to drive can someone reassure me that we won't get lost?!! How long does the journey take and is it all well signposted?

You will not be able to leave your car at BWV's parking lot while you cruise. When you check in at BWV you are given a "parking permit" which states your dates of arrival and departure there.

I would just drive to the Port and park there!! Since you have a car already, why pay more money for transportation from WDW to Port Canaveral? Parking is very safe and reasonable at the Port. It took me approximately an hour to drive there, the roads are clearly marked and I had no trouble at all. I stopped at the store on the way for some beverages to bring on board ship, too.

I live in the Orlando area and am going on my second Disney Cruise next week. Yahooie! Set your mind at ease on finding the port. It is very well marked and you have a great view of the ship prior to reaching the exit, so there is no way you can get lost! We leave our car at the port; it is very safe. Last summer, I think we paid $7 per day.

Parking is now $8.00 per day at the Port. It changed recently.

I agree with the other posters. Go ahead and drive to the port. It's easy to get there. I have directions at my web site:

Thank you all so much for your reassurance and information! I knew I could count on you guys and we've now decided to drive to the port and I'm not nearly so nervous about finding it etc!!!! Thanks again!
