Our dream prize - the MK to ourselves!

almost! On Wed. Sept 17th after getting autographes from the princesses in the tent in Mickey's Toon Town we were met by the Dream Team. We were given lanyards with a passes to attend a special event once the park closed. We were to meet in Tomorrowland for a dance party with the characters then once the park cleared out we were given an hour to dance with the character or ride the rides! A cast member told us this was a very special events only 3000 attended and it only occurred about 3 times a year. My kids (12, 10, 7 & 4) had a ball dancing to the music from a DJ. They went nuts when Mickey & Minnie came on stage! We were able to get on Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan, & Dumbo with no wait at all! We also were given special YOAMD pins. We had a wonderful trip!

I don't think I've ever heard of that dream before, outside the context of a Disney wedding. It must have been so special for your family. 3,000 guests is not many at all; I hope Disney decides to continue these types of "private" parties in Tomorrowland.

We were part of the magic that day also, we got ours in the same place. We did Snow White, Peter Pan, Small World, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and the Magic Carpets of Alladin. That was an AWESOME night.

Us too! We were getting on Buzz Lightyear at around 10:30 when they were passing the lanyards out. Unfortunately, our son went over to ride space mountain, so I asked for an extra one for him. When we met him outside after the ride, he had gotten one on Space Mountain! We told him how thoughtful he forgot to ask for three more for us:confused3 . My husband and son ended up going back, but my daughter and I were completely exhausted and of course we are kicking ourselves over and over again. My husband said it was like a ghost town. If anyone saw a big guy in a Grumpy shirt by himself riding Dumbo over and over again, it was my him!

I stayed with my dd at the dance party for most of it. She LOVED dancing with all the characters. The boys all went to Thunder Mtn and Splash Mtn. Then I took dd over to Dumbo, Small World, Teacups, etc. It was the BEST night ever!!!!

LOL!! I probably passed you! We were at the dance party and I thought that I'd stay there with dd the entire time. But, with about 20 minutes left, she started telling me she wanted to ride the Dumbo ride. So, we TOOK OFF!!! I'm a runner and I was getting quite the workout that night! And, it was SOOOOO HOT that night wasn't it?

I was sad though, at the end of the night, dd asked to go down Pooh's slide. The guy was JUST putting up the rope and wouldn't allow dd in. She was really upset! It was our last day at MK and we don't have another trip to WDW planned yet, so I was pretty sad for her.

It was still a VERY magical night!!

We won this dream.............only it was in Epcot on August 23. They told us there were only 300 people to win that dream. It was only for the rides in Future World. We had a ball, the dance party was fun with Goofy and Pluto dancing with the young children. When we left the park, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto along with the gentleman who said he was the head of the Dream Team was there to say goodnight to everyone.

We were in the tent shopping that day and ppl just came out for meeting the princesses and where talking with the rest of there family saying everyone in that line won. Now I am kicking myself I didnt go in line.

When I was on my CP we had one of those events at Animal Kingdom. They told us we had to work a convention that night, but we had no idea for what and then we found out this was what it was for. It was so much fun!

We got this too!! But our story has a sad ending.

My son and I had just stood in line this same day to get autographs at Mickey's house around 11:00 AM - I was surprised because Minnie was in there too. We had gotten pics with Mickey the year before and Minnie wasn't posing with Mickey that time so I was happy. As soon as we exited the dream team was giving out these passes.

I WANTED TO CRY. You see my older son and I were only in MK to get a haircut and ride a few rides while DH was packing and youngest DS was napping. OUR FLIGHT HOME WAS THAT DAY AND IT WASN'T A VERY GOOD DREAM TO WIN ON OUR LAST DAY!

Sadly we were on a plane while this special event was happening and I had hoped someone would report on what we missed. :sad: :sad: :sad:
