This is a much later start than Disney. Here is everyone bright-eyed at about 7:15 or 7:30 am

Karen and John were so fast at the start that they were past me before I could take a picture:

Yes, Howard climbed to the stop of the Philadelphia Art Museum steps (think "Rocky"):

Yes, he told Pat the view from the top is one that a first-time visitor to Philly must not miss:

Oh, you know I was just going to edit my post, because I knew I wrote it down wrong. Sorry.:sad2: , I had a moment of metal lapse.

No problem at all. It's funny. Other friends IRL call me "Mel" or "Carm" (short for Carmella), but I am "Cam" here. In other places I am Cammy, too. As you can imagine, I'll respond to almost anything. :)

Thanks for posting the pics-- it was great to meet every one (and see Pat again). I feel surprisingly good this morning, my DH is a little sore but he went all out in the race :cool1:

Yes, thanks so much for posting the pics, and yes, I'm sore. I don't think my ankles are used to pavement... let's hear it for treadmills :)

Great pics, Cam! Thanks for posting them.

Congrats to all the Philly finishers! How many of you had a cheesesteak yesterday to rebuild those sore muscles?? ;)

Great pictures Cam! Jim's downloading mine now.

Krista, we didn't have any Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, but Anne, Robert, and I did eat at the Marathon Grill last night!

I had a great time in Philly and the medal is really cool!

Cam - great pictures. Thanks for sharing. The steps remind me of the year Lynne lived down there while she did a post-bac year.

I did, in fact, have a cheesesteak from a local pizza shop, "Claymont Steaks" yesterday. It is regularly voted "Best of Delaware". I couldn't talk about cheesesteaks all day and then not have one. :headache: :rolleyes1

Missed you, Sara!!!

The day was perfect for the event. The course was really beautiful. Fortunately, I have no visions of speed, so just finishing is a milestone for me!! The bands were too few for me, and we were in the Fairmont Park for a lot of it, so little crowd support there, but overall, it was a very nice event.

Pat graciously slowed down and stayed with me, and we encouraged others along the way (yes, we actually passed people!!). Got tons of compliments on our WISH shirts! When it was over, there were all of those speedy WISHers waiting for us, how cool is that?? :cool1: Cam and Howard could have driven home and had a shower in the time it took to wait for us!!!

Way to go, Howard, on your PR!!! :thumbsup2

After my calves quit spazzing :sad2: (I know it's not a word...), and we were able to start moving to the parking area, we passed the course clock which was still running. At 4:37 someone was just making the final turn into the Finish, so I stopped to cheer for her. That was a HOUR after Pat and I finished! Wow.

We arrived home Monday...and went out and got Philly cheesesteaks for dinner. :rotfl2:

Great photos Cam.

Funny, I never knew your name was Carmella. I just assumed Cam was short for Camille or Cameron. :confused3

Don't I wish! LOL! Still trying not to live up to the image of the matronly meatball-shaped old Italian lady that the name Carmella conjures in my brain. :lmao:
