We are staying at CSR the beginning of June and have 2 families that would like to be within the same building. I plan on faxing or calling 3-5 days before our arrival with our request . Should we include both reservation #'s on one letter or should each family send their own letter with the other party's info? One family is arriving at 12:00 (noon), the other @ 7:00pm. Will this make any difference in the requests not being honored?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I would send both reservations #'s on one letter, I would also call after to make sure they got it. The first family should ask when they check-in if the other family's room is close and be sure it is noted not to be changed.

If you requested non-smoking, be sure to mention it again in your fax. I stayed at CSR with 3 friends last year and we sent a fax requesting connecting rooms, we didn't mention non-smoking since it was on the original reservation, they had the connecting rooms when we got there at 8:30am - but when we got to the rooms they were smoking!

It would probably be easier for the room assigner if you included all the info for both families (name, arrival date, departure date, reservation #'s, etc) in one fax. That way he/she doesn't have to go searching for a second one from another family. Time of arrival shouldn't matter. But I would tell the family arriving at noon to make sure at the front desk that both families are where they want to be. It will be easier to straighten out any problems at noon than at night.

We put all the information on a fax last yr. and managed to get 3 rooms all on the same floor. 2 of those rooms were next to each other and the 3rd was 3 rooms away. Our request was for 3 rooms on the same floor but not necessarily next to each other. I would fax my request and then ask again when you check in.

do you have to fax this, or can you call? If so, do you call/fax the specific hotel? What are the phone numbers/fax numbers to call/send.
We are staying at the asmu. with anyother family and would love to be near each other

We faxed CBR 4 days before arrival of three families. I put all the information on 1 fax, with reservation id for each family. I asked for 1st floor of Martinique with 3 rooms close, two ajoining if possible. We were arriving at 2 different times, but I did not mention this. I signed it from each family. We got everything including the ajoining rooms and one 1 door down. The arrival times did not seem to matter as the rooms were assigned before we got there. I did not call to check up on the fax.

I have faxed other times for building requests for our individual family and have had success with those as well.

You could ask for adjoining or connecting rooms. Adjoining rooms are side by side. Connecting rooms have an inside door that you can open between rooms.

connecting rooms are what I asked for and got.
