Here at WDW right now. We're staying with friends who are staying on points with their DVC. I just tried booking a BB for POFQ, but they told me that since we're staying in a villa, I couldn't downgrade my resort. I could only book a Dlx or Villa resort. Has anyone heard about this? Or was anyone able to downgrade their resort?
Although, this could be my chance to stay at AKL, DH was already reluctant to come back next year.
TIA!

Call back and talk to someone else. You remember their stage name? You can stay at GF and book for Pop if you want

Think you need to call back. When DH & myself was there two weeks ago we were staying at the BWI. We booked the same for next year but checked other resorts as well. The CM told me if I changed my mind I have a ressie but I could always call back & change resorts as long as they have it under that program.
I do wish Dsiney would train their CM better though some of them are dumber than a brick <smiles> Sorry but true.
Case in point I have a trip starting this Sat that I booked under a special code that Disney Visa was offeringing back in late July or early August. I called the number that the email said to call & they gave me a confirmation number that started with a letter. Well it was for the WL & I decided while at the BWI I really wanted to stay there so I called & the CM was very rude telling me Disney doesn't have comfirmation number starting with a letter etc. I told him this is the same phone number that I used to make it & when I made my final payment you all had no problems finding the ressie to take my money why now you can't find it? I asked to speak to a GR person but he put me on hold then the phone went dead. I called back & asked to speak with a GR & the lady asked if she could help. I said no I was getting rather mad & didn't want to take it out on her etc. She switched me in no time. I explained the problem & she said there was nothing for the BWI under that code. I told her yes I knew that but there was an opening under regular rate etc. I didn't mind paying the difference, so she changed it & told me just to bring my docs with me when I checked in. Turned out last wek I got the new docs for the BWI so I will just take my WL's ones when I go to give it to them. She asked if I had the name of CM who treated me so rudely. Yes I keep track of the names even though they are not their own so I am told. She said she would talk to him & told me she was sorry that this happen. She said the CM need to look at another screen to find it but it is a Disney confirmation number.:)

Thats because Disney Visa res's start with a K. Theres not a lot of Visa promotions so a lot of them arent used to the K number. Its still good to report CMs that dont seem to know what theyre talking about

I hope our bounceback dates with free dining will work when we arrive at the resort in late October. We are planning everything ahead of time for next year, since we keep missing out on the FD promotions!
I report CMs that don't seem to know what they are talking about (they do exist) AND I give the equivalent of a gold star by passing along positive comments to Disney Guest Relations about CMs that DO seem to know what they are talking about (they also exist!). :goodvibes
