DH and I will be at HHN 9/26 & 9/27. I was sure I read another post that said you can spot a DISer by the lime green ribbon. Is that true? Just wanna make sure I can spot some of my fellow U/IOA lovers.

the lime green is the color for disers at disneyworld. it has been like that for years, think about going on 8 years now.

it seldom carries over to universal.

penny, a universal poster, tried to do a poll months ago for universal homies to have a certain color of ribbon/etc for others to find UO homies.

not many participated in her poll.

the best way to meet up is to look at the date thread and see others that booked and will be at the parks when you are.

i wear CSW t shirts.

if you see a blonde in one of them, it might be me.

rather then make a new thread, ill add a quick question on this one too.
A friend of mine is buying 2-day tix and 1-day HHN tix. Can they purchase them online the same day as they plan to use it?

[edit: also, I know first weekend is 29.99 for annual passholders, would I be able to purchase his tix with my annual pass (3 total) and he pick it up at the gate if I wasn't there, or would I be forced into going with him? lol]

Yes, but I'd choose the print-at-home option as sometimes it takes several hours for them to be available at the kiosk. (It has to download into the system.)

This will only be my 2nd HHN but the last one I went to we purchased online the day of and chose the "pick up at window" option. When we arrived they couldn't find our tickets in the system. My card was charged though. It took them 1 1/2 hrs to get it sorted out. We had a great time with no other problems but what a scare. Guess my long winded point is that I would agree. You should absolutely print at home. Save the scares for INSIDE the gates. :scared1:

I usually show up wearing HOS shirts.

On opening night, I'll be wearing my 2005 gray bloody cell-phone HOS shirt (lame shirt, but I'll be wearing it anyway.)

Hopefully my other nights, I'll be wearing this year's HOS shirt (unless HHN's shirts blow me away).

i stick with the chain saw wolf shirts. i buy new ones each year and only wear that for hhn. and shorts..
this year, one of the members came up with polos and hats csw style.
nice added feature for our group

hack has a thread titled hhn merchandise.
you can see the hhn shirts there or on the vault.
a couple of choices again this year.

do people really wear lime mickeys at universal?
hhn?

i have not seen that yet.

if they do it at hhn, i'm sure it will be the bait for the scare actors to go after them.....

I agree with macraven, I don't believe the line green thing gets carried over to US.

the best way to meet up is to look at the date thread and see others that booked and will be at the parks when you are.
Plus you can post your picture in the "HHN Meet up - Introduce yourself" thread --> http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1952663

Can I purchase the tix via my AP online, print-at-home, and he can use them at the gate or would they require to see my annual pass or something?

anybody? i know last year i could purchase up to six tickets discounted, but I was there with him so it wasn't a problem. He wanted to go another date that I didn't plan on going, so I was going to try and purchase him a ticket @ the AP discount for Friday, however I wasn't sure if it would work since he isn't an annual passholder?

passholders can purchase up to 6 max for tickets for their friends with the discount.

the ticket will be valid that you purchase for him.

i have bought tickets with my discount/ap and have not had an issue when they used them.

you can call the ap hotline if you have hesitation before buying them.
things can change and that way you would have the direct official answer for the purchase of tickets.

Just to confirm before I let him know, but I won't need to be there for him to use the ticket, right? Thanks so much.

We can purchase the tix online, right? And print-at-home? I didn't want to drive all the way out to Universal (30 mins) just to get him into HHN for a 14 dollar discount, LOL

I think you have to purchase them at the gate or by phone.

The good news is...right now you can buy guest tickets for 50% off with the AP. The 1-day, 2-park ticket is $41.48 + tax and the 2-day, 2-park ticket is $58.47 + tax. You can either purchase them at the gate or by calling 1-866-PASS-4-FUN.

if I purchased it via phone, I would have to still go to the gate to pick it up, correct?

[edit] I went through halloweenhorrornights.com and logged in on the left, it allows me to add 3 tix @ the AP rate, I can't go that route? I'm probably stuck going with them one day though so they can get the 50% discount now that you've mentioned it lol

If you purchase a ticket via phone, you would have to present the confirmation number and credit card to get the tickets.
