Very sweet memorial service for Bob today...

Diana was kind enough to invite those of us who live up this way to a memorial service for Bob today. It was very beautiful and intimate, and many told their memories of Bob, and how he touched their lives. The weather cooperated beautifully...a cool, sunny, perfect early autumn day in New England. Pete's eulogy was played, and there wasn't a dry eye in the place.

I live close by and planned on attending. Unfortunately, I am flat out sick and couldn't think about leaving the house today. I did however, think of him often:angel:

DS and I went and it was very moving and beautiful. I am thankful that Diana shared this with us. Jack (DS) got more upset than I thought he would have. Pete's eulogy really got to him. However, he kept saying it was cool to meet people who actually knew what the podcast and Disboards were. He was also very impressed with Alex once he found out Alex had actually been ON the podcast!

It's funny, it was a beautiful here today too and I happened to drive by a golf course and thought of Bob. I hope on such a beautiful day that someone was playing "Bawb Golf" and just having fun. :goodvibes

I really wanted to go today :( I was in the ER last night with a sick lil GD (she is doing much better tonight), we didn't get home with her until 8am. Sorry I missed it. I will always miss our Bawb.
