Hello all. I was not sure if there was a specific thread that Caroline visited, but I know that she was on this board.

I have some sad news to share about our dear friend Caroline - Lovingthemouse. This information was posted on the Pin Board by a mutual friend. When I have more information, I will post.

I am sure you all remember Caroline Tougas. She is a teacher in MA who every year took her students to WDW to learn and have fun. She also introduced many of them to our wonderful hobby of pin trading.
Caroline lost the love of her life last night when her husband of many years, Roger passed away.
Roger has been ill for many years, but this was unexpected. He has been retired on disability for a few years and Caroline was looking forward to November when she was going to retire and they would have more time together. They already had their next trips to WDW planned for November and again in April.
I will be taking a collection for flowers from us and I will give any additional monies collected to Caroline for whatever she might need in the next few weeks.
The funeral arrangements are being made right now but the plans are for the viewing on Sunday and Funeral on Monday of next week. I will let you know the final arrangements if you are interested in going. They will take place in East Longmeadow, MA.

If you would like to contribute to flowers for Caroline please send me a check as soon as possible. My address is
Peggie Dennehy
51 Bancroft Avenue
Bridgeport, CT 06604

Please send this on to anyone who you think might be interested...
thank you
Peggie

Please keep her in your prayers. If you would like her home address, you can PM me.

Debbie

UPDATE
The wake will be on Sunday, September 21 from 2 pm - 5 pm at Sampsons Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Rd, Springfield MA 01129

The funeral mass will be: Monday, 10 am at St Michael's Church in East Longmeadow.

I IM'd with Caroline this evening and it is so very sad. But she does have loving family surrounding her and they will give her strength.

Oh my!! My heart goes out to Caroline and Rogers family.
Debbie, can you get me details on the wake please. I know several girls are close and maybe a few can come up.

Guys if anyone wants to contribute anything to Caroline, flowers or a music box like we did for Susie, please let me know.

God bless you Caroline, you will be in my thoughts in the coming weeks. Please think about coming to CKC still. We would love to give you support and shelter in person.

Call me or Lisa if you need anything!!

I posted a thread on the swap forum to see if anyone wants to make cards. I think Lisa and I might try to go to Roger's wake.

EKF, thank you so much for letting us know about Roger. Even with knowing Caroline "on the boards", one could tell Roger was the love of her life. And I know their grandson adored his grandpa. I would imagine several of us will go to the wake.

My heart goes out for Caroline, their girls, and grandson.

What a wonderfully written tribute to a man who made a difference in many people's lives. This world will surely be the better because of him.
