View Full Version : Disney's Newest Ad Campaign... What will you celebrate?

Well… I just took a peek at Disney’s new ad campaign for 2009 and it’s titled “What will you celebrate?” and let me just tell you… it really pulled some heart strings for me. I think Disney really hit a homerun with this campaign because having gone on a grand gathering this year and bringing my niece and nephew who have never been to WDW before, really makes me go back to when I was a child. The looks on their faces when they saw the “Welcome to Walt Disney World” entrance signage, to the animals on the savannah at the AKL, to even my niece crying when she met Cinderella outside the castle, really bring back some wonderful and tearful memories (But happy tears haha, until I got the bill). And, not to mention in looking at the ad campaign Disney plans to focus on a market of consumers who just want to gather to celebrate a special event and any event for that matter, which is something Disney can really hone in on with today’s economy. At any rate, I am going to post the website to see what you guys think… just looking to start a discussion about it and seeing what the podcast crew thinks. Thanks again for letting me just voice my opinion on the new campaign.

Well, considering we have some pretty big events we will be celebrating at the World next year, I think it's great. While the events technically take place in September, we are going in October when the boys have their fall break. DH and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary (we honeymooned at the World, too, arrived 9 years ago today), and both of my parents will be celebrating their 55th birthdays. Oh, and it's the boys' first trip to Disney. They are already counting the days!

We are celebrating DS's 11th bday on 12/3 of this year. Other then the free pass on actual bday, there are very few items listed that aren't available now if you knew info from DIS. I think it will make it harder to get things like Wishes celebration cruises since more people will know about it. Don't know if we can afford to go again in 2009 but we have already celebrated DH, DD's and now DS's bday in WDW so I would love to go for mine which would also fall in free dining.

The most likely event will be my 4 year anniversary with DBF. We are going next weekend for our 3 year.
