Has anyone ever heard of or used koolties?

I saw some Koolties at REI and was wondering if anyone has ever tried these? If so, how did you like them? Were they really helpful? Thanks so much! :flower3:

I've never worn one, but I've seen other people with them on! When are you planning on going to WDW, because you might not need them...

I bought them at REI this past summer for camping. The kids loved them and they really work.

Im not sure the exact name of the things that I used to use at work(factory) but in the summertime the managers used to hand out this type of bandana that had cool beads in it. We soaked it in cold water and then put it around our neck. They really helped us when it was really hot. The only thing was that the neck of our shirts would be wet. But they did keep cool for a long time.

Wal Mart had something similar but not sure if it was Koolties. They're wonderful to have on a hot day at WDW. My 14 yo thought that she was too stylish for them but she ended up wearing hers too. I soak them in ice water in the room. During the day when they lose their coolness, I get a large glass of ice and add a little water, soak it again. In no time, the tie is cool.

They really are great for someone that gets overheated easily and they can help to perk up the kids, as well.
