It's really fun, Emma! They deck out the Magic Kingdom in Christmas stuff, most of the major rides are open, and there are Christmas shows throughout the park. Also special Christmas fireworks, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade, and photos taken of you (or your group :D ). A bunch of about 10 of us had such a blast last year!

I'm in absolute SHOCK :eek: that tickets are going on sale this early. Does anybody know why? I had better check with Holly and Meggan to find out which night they want to go. We'll be there from 12/3-12/8.

I would rather go on either Tues. or Thurs. I know the weekend nights get really crowded. The 3rd would be my preference.

Just called at 8:18 EST and tickets were not on sale yet. The CM I spoke to said that they had been briefed about tickets and they were supposed to be available to book. However, they were not in the system yet.

Advance tickets are $33.95 for adults and $23.95 for children. The add-on dinner at LTT is $21.95.

I also inquired if the other restaurants will be open and the CM stated that she was pretty sure they would be. So I'm not really quite clear on the advantage of having the add-on, other than you have a guarantee seating early as compared waiting 60 days out for a PS.

Chris - MVMCP wasn't part of Dis-Con last year, and I don't expect it to be this year, either. The add-on dinner is new this year. A lot of DISers ate at the Crystal Palace before the party last year.

The MVMCP tickets are non-refundable. I don't know if the dinner option can be dropped, but I know that the Candlelight Processional (Epcot) dinner package was refundable in the past.

Yes...I think we need just a list with date and item so that we have something quick to look at. I love Ray's thread but there's a lot of info to sift through there. Perhaps that scaled down into a single list would be great as I don't want to miss anything either. I think I'm shooting for the 8th also since I'll have a couple of days to recoup after DISCon and I don't want to start out TOO tired (I know I won't sleep the night before I leave!!!! :D )

I don't know what days that I am going to go to MVMCP. I would like to go on the day(s) that all of you guys are going.

When I get off work December 1st, I'll fly down...maybe rest a few hours...and then hopefully be able to go with everyone to a late afternoon and evening DIS mini-meet.

Monday, December 2nd is open, too.

Tuesday, December 3rd, may be an extra day to start DIS-CON. I don't know for sure.

Then the next five days, December 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8th have been pretty well set by Pete. Those days I'll have to wait and see what the initial, official itinerary includes for those days.

Last year, on the last day of the convention...which was a Sunday morning...a bunch of us decided to end the last day by buying tickets to MVMCP for our last night together. A lot of people left the next day on Monday morning.

December 8th is also a Sunday and the last day of the Convention and is probably why everyone is talking about going on that day...this is just a guess...and everyone is just thinking out loud.

I don't think that MVMCP tickets are going to sell out anytime soon.

Then everyone thought that it would be nice to eat inside the MK and stay inside the MK before the MVMCP started.

A lot of us had two huge sections of tables at the MK Crystal Palace restaurant and had a great time. A few others made plans at the smaller Liberty Tree Tavern.

I think that it was luvdsny and disneycub and Barb that made rather large Priority Seatings for us at Crystal Palace.

This is the first year that I recall them adding an add-on to MVMCP.

As far as December 1st, 2nd, and maybe the 3rd there are so many things to do.

1. MVMCP
2. Cirque du Soleil
3. Hoop-Dee-Doo Review
4. Christmas Processional at EPCOT.
5. Osborne Spectacle of Lights at MGM.
6. Fantasmic.
7. Illuminations.
8. Jellyrolls.
9. Karaoke at the Swan's Kimonos

All these are evening events.

So keep asking questions.
And it's O.K. to change your minds.
But I would wait awhile before buying tickets unless you can get a refund or that you and your family ar definitely going.


I know that I want to do everything.

But, speaking for myself...I want to share time again with my friends...luvdsny and Barb and lowellsdad and Disneycub and DumboOrBust and Smee and Sandra B. and Towncrier and Patrick and Carol A. and Dan Murphy and the list goes on and on.

And yhen I want to meet all the new DISers.

It'll all work out.

But it will also change a lot, too.

Since Pete's last comments about the convention were that it would begin Dec. 4th, I'm going to MVMCP on the 3rd. For those who purchase the add-on dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern - you still have to call back 60 days before to make your PS.

I'm seeing alot of confusion over on the TPB - some people are being told to call back and some are being given their PS. One was given a PS with a credit card to hold and another was given a PS without needing a credit card to hold....you might want to have them call back if you want the dinner and see if they will book it!! I guess it doesn't hurt anyway!! Hate to see you end up not getting a PS if you wanted one. It's really kind of confusing...but this is what happened with the Candlelight Processional last year too...or similar...when they released the tickets for sale.

I just called WDW back and did indeed get a 5:40 PS for LTT. So if anyone is told that they have to call back in Oct., tell them others are getting their PS's now.

I think I've made my decision - Dec 8th with the add-on dinner. Now just trying to decide when I'm going to call. Do they charge this directly to your CC when you call? For both the tickets and dinner?

Yes, I did arrange for a table of 10, I think, last year at the Crystal Palace for MVMCP. We had a blast. I believe Tia (luvdsny) did the same thing.

I believe I'll do the same this year, and won't be doing the Liberty Tree add-on. I'm not fond of turkey and dressing.

But before I do anything, I've got to decide what day or days I'll be going. And like Ray said, I don't think tickets will sell out right away in any case. So I'm going to bide my time.

I'm really tempted to get into commando mode right away....but I'm trying to behave.

I haven't done the math yet, but you can make PS's for the Crystal Palace 60 days out. And I've already got a table of 10 people for December 8th, so if you haven't PM'd me, I'm sorry I'm full at this point....but that could always change.

As far as the Candlelight Processional goes, I've already told Marsha that I would host a mini-meet which will include the dinner package. But we need to see the DIS-Con schedule first, see the Candlelight Processional package for this year, decide on a date and time. Tickets for the CP last year didn't go on sale until August, so we've got some breathing room. I think we've figured out a way to handle the money, etc. (thanks Ray). For our little group of 4 last year, we had dinner at Teppanyaki (which was fab-u-lous) and wonderful CP seats. I believe it ran $42.50 per person, and was worth every penny.

Anyway, I'm keeping tabs on the Candlelight, and will let y'all know when I have something concrete. :D

Going to MVMCP 12/3 AND 12/5, doing dinner package at LTT on 12/3 have 5:45 PS and 12/5 have 5:30 PS at LTT. Going to HDDR 12/1 first show this is day we arrive. We are thinking of doing 9:00 hayride at FW, have done in past and you get a one of a kind of view of water parade. On the Candlelight Processional, loved it last year. It is on my MUST do list for this year. Last year we went to the 6:45 show and had 8:00 PS at Rose & Crown where we had a lovely dinner and then had front row table for illuminations. What a great night! I would be happy to eat there or anywhere else. When oh when will the full schedule come out! Commandos, ready and willing Sir! (down Steve, down ;))

Last year we just bought our tickets separate and then different people made reservations for tables. As we get closer and figure out whose table you'll be at then remind that person to have them note on the PS you have the ECV. Last year the two or three of us that had wheelchairs or ECVs were all able to leave them so we just left them out front and then went to our table. For Dale it might be easier just to have them note it on the PS. I think we can make PS at the 90 or 60 day mark, by then we should have table lists and such. Don't worry, we'll take care of you.

I think we did a pay as you go at Crystal Palace. Meals got a little confusing for everybody with one ticket or separate. I'm sure we drove some waitresses crazy.
