just got home-wonderful trip

hi everyone,
dd and i just got back from 10 days at wdw. had a wonderful time, got to see spectromagic for the first time--it was amazing. dd is 21 and it is so funny to see how excited she still gets when she sees the characters, we got lots of photos with characters we missed last trip. we had a magical breakfast at CRT. my dh passed away from cancer 3 months ago and we missed him , especially on his favorite rides and shows, but we made wonderful new memories too. i hadn't flown in over 30 yrs!! but we flew out of detroit , used robert Q to and from the airport and had tiffany town car pick us up in orlando and everything went very smoothly. we met SandraC at CRT too! csr is a beautiful resort. hope we get to return someday.

Sounds like your vacation was exactly what you ordered!;) I'm so happy that you decided to do this trip even after what you've been through. I think that your DH would have wanted you and your DD to enjoy themselves and I'm sure he was there looking over your shoulder.:)

hi again, thanks for all the "welcome homes" ! sorry, DisneyLisa, i seem to have left the good weather behind. it is cold and rainy here. we had beautiful weather at wdw, high 80's and low 90's our entire trip. on our last day we ate at rainforest cafe at downtown disney. when we came out it was pouring rain, lasted about 20 min. and that was all the rain we saw the whole 10 days. it seemed very busy to us in the parks, but not packed except at parade times, especially for spectromagic. the cm's at our resort were telling everyone the parks were dead, i guess compared to what they can be like they were quiet, but they still seemed busy to us. fastpass was great though, and with a little planning we waited between 5 and 15 min for most rides. some rides had stand-by times of 30-45 min though. we visited and ate at wilderness lodge and animal kingdom lodge so we could see a couple new resorts, they are both beautiful, i would choose akl if i could get a good rate, but we were very happy at csr and would definately return there.
