A Disney Resort? Was there a moment when the magic of Disney made your stay or an experiance at a resort special?
The first time we came back to our resort room and found DS's beanies getting into the cereal, hiding under the towels, reading a story to each other... DS was absolutely amazed that his little buddy's were so busy while we were gone!
Another time was when a CM arrived at our room bearing a certificate for 2 glasses of champagne in honor of DH and my 10th Anniversary. Unfortunately, I thought it was DH returning from a trip to the cafe and I opened the door wearing nothing but a towel and a smile. Oops! :D

being at the WL on Friday sept 8, 2000 and watching the space shuttle Atlantis lift out into space from the roof of the WL while we were the flag family. We will never forget seeing that. It was fantastic! Also on that trip, having mousekeeping arrange all the kids stuffed animals in a different position everyday and making animals out of the towels for us each day. One day, Mickey even had the remote in his hand and the TV was ON and they were all watching it in the bunk beds!! Truely a great trip!

When we were upgraded at the Poly to waterview rooms(3 of them) in Tahiti. We were in awe when we opened the curtains and had a perfect view of the castle! Can't get any better than that!!

When my children were 2 & 4 very early in the morning at the beach at the GF we had the whole beach to ourselves and the kids were singing Zip a dee doo da and playing in the water (you could back then) with the castle in the background. Also that trip we were the first guests to check into GF and the CM's were so wonderful to us and our children. It was so special.

Our very first trip, we were met getting out of the Limo by valiet and golf cart and given the personal guided tour of the Poly :D We stayed concierge, but it was so special, we felt like kings, I will never forget it. My first ever sighting of the Castle across the lagoon from the Poly Beach was exciting too. :)

On the last night of our honeymoon(Aug 1 1995), there was a hurricane and the parks closed down early. We were staying at the Poly so we had dinner at the Tangora Terrace and then went up to the Tambu Lounge. DH & I sat there, sipping tropical drinks, while the storm whipped around outside. The tropical atmosphere just made it so romantic. Its my favorite honeymoon memory!

Our first onsite stay at Dixie Landings was nearly perfect. I was so amazed at the entire resort! The grounds, the landscaping, the architecture, the whole atmosphere, especially the smells! I kept thinking, "This is a moderate resort? Wow!"
The highlight for my kids was coming back to our room to find the stuffed animals and dolls sitting on the bed watching TV with the remote in hand. The phone was on the bed beside them and they had the room service menu open on their laps:p
My kids' jaws dropped in shock for a few seconds, then they started laughing like crazy and snapping pictures from every angle.

I get so much enjoyment watching my kiddos feed the ducks off our porch at OKW. After a few days, the ducks come running to our porch as soon as the door opens. We have a lot of fun with that.
I also love sitting by the pool while the kiddos are swimming and listening to the fun steel drum music that is playing. Everytime I hear that music anywhere I am, I think of OKW.
...25 more days till OKW!!!!

The best moment at a resort is the first time you step into the resort and check - in!

The second time we stayed at the Contemporary in a tower room. We were on the "Gold Key" plan which included all your meals and recreation. We got all dressed up one night and went to the Top of the World restaurant for the dinner show. I also remember sitting out on our balcony and watching the fireworks over the castle. Considering we had camped out on our first trip in '75, we felt like we had "arrived". That was truly one of our best family vacations.
