Just for kicks, I did a "live chat" asking some questions. I decided to pose the "pin code" question, etc, etc. I wonder how much validity is in the last sentence of the response. His response was:

PIN Offers are not available upon request. You would have been notified by mail or e-mail if there is a special code associated with your family. They are sent to select households based on current marketing information. My best suggestion to be included in future marketing campaigns is to register online at Disneyworld.com if you haven't already, they do occasionally market to our guests who book online!

i think the response is very accurate. When you register on the disney web site be sure to click where it says that you are interested in getting offers from them

yes and no... Yes, in the sense that you have to be registered with them and authorized them to receive promotional material. No, in the sense that they just throw pixie dust over a big list of names, and those are the ones that get the pin.

So, to get on the list, you have to sign up online, get the dvd, book a trip, etc, and either one of the above, more than one of the above, or all of the above.
