Well I stayed up way to late last night...then Koda got sick 3:00am...he ate an eraser:sad2: Then I was up at 6:00 as normal...I don't work the best with little sleep.

Busy Day...off to school in a little bit...it's recylce day...so it take an extra 30 minutes at school today...need to finish my consulting work this morning...Kierra wants to come home for lunch...then Alicia has school and my inlaws are coming in...ciriculm night tonight at Kierra's school....

We have a nasty forest fires a few miles from us, but the skies are all smokey and a bit smelly today. It makes for a pretty sunset though.:goodvibes

I had thought about an address bcause that would explain the pieces and being slick in texture. Gold is obviously a big clue.
Thought of the name of a building or street or park for that? Or a place like Golds gym for example.

It has to be a public place that people can easily get to.
I tried googling the clues and her part of the world and didnt get any help either.

I am so tired of looking for doggie day care and boarding here:guilty:
I had a great onein Florida, but now that we are flying out I need one here.

I want a cageless one where they play al day wth other dogs and then I know they will be so busy having fun they wont miss me at all and will be exhausted by night and will sleep all night through.I do have one appt set up with a lady near Salem on the 27th of this month for an evaluation of the dogs and I will evaluate her too. she does this from her home and only has 3 dogs at a time to watch as well as her own 2 dogs.

Now that could be better because they wont have too many dogs all at once and its more relaxed atmosphere, or it could be worse if she just sits around all day and doesnt relly keep an eye on the dogs where a business has employees who do this or get fired.

My head is about to bust open with all this stuff:sad2:

Saturdays just got super busy here...dance is cancel on Friday's so now Alicia got dance for 1 hour in the morning...then Kierra after lunch followed by swimming...they want to stay in it though...seems like a lot to me...we'll see.

our temps dropped really fast this evening. From 82 to 66 in about 40 minutes. Brrrrrr!!!

I'm finally here.
I had a appointment early today. we drove 250 miles round trip and didnt get to keep the appointment:eek: So I am tired of riding and very stressed.

It is cold out today. it was suppose to be 76 today. we will be lucky if it hits 65 the way its going. I hope Chuck, Mark , Darrell and Brantley find us soon and say hello.

We finally got our excursions decided!! :cool1:

Haven't had to make such hard decisions since I built my house?! :rolleyes:

We decided to go all out in GC and we chartered a 46 foot private sailing yacht to take us sailing and snorkeling at Stingray city and other sites.

I was hoping the captain's name would be "Ron" and that he'd have long hair and an eye patch, but I spoke will our captain today in GC and his name is "Neil". :rolleyes:

He sounded very down to earth, but was willing to do whatever it takes to ensure we have a great time while in GC. :cool1:

Hello!

Met the boys at school and left for the soccer game. It took over an hour to get there and the leader of our caravan was going way too fast on the backroads :confused3

The team lost 1 to 2 during the last few minutes of the game! Good game. I think the other team had an advantage because they had more on the team so they weren't so tired by the end of the game like our team was.

I'm glad tomorrow's Friday. Guess we are going to the zoo in the morning. Should have time to post before leaving but if not you do know where I'm at.

Hi all,

just doing a quick check in before Greg needs the computer to check his mail.
Been along day today.

Poor Minnie tried to jump on our bed last night and with her short legs and our high bed she fell backwards and landed on her head and also hurt her back left foot. Good thing she has a hard head.
I know her head and foot hurt all last night and when she plays todayyou can see she still hurts some.

we use to have a case of canned food there she could step on and jump onto the bed.
She saw Pixie up there and wanted to join her.

My poor baby, she is always getting hurt. She just isnt real strong in her legs. Vet says it may be due to ehr early abuse. we didnt do the x-rays to see if they had been fractured or broken before. I couldnt bear knowing if they had hit her that hard.

So she is a cuddle bug this evening with me. She always does that when she isnt feeling well.

I have read many times that most pediatricians say younger kids dont get seasick normally because their inner ears arnt fully developed.
Usually when they get ill its due to the change of diet and excitement or hearing people talking about getting seasick. if they think they will get sick, they will.:sad2:

Our grandkids never got seasick, but their dad sure did:lmao: But he loaded with dramamine and was ok after that. But we did have 30 foot seas that trip.


I always bring some meds but we have never needed them, thank goodness.:cloud9:

Morning all,

Greg they do have a shot fo rpeople who have tired other methods and are still sick.
I think it costs about $135.00, but it does work and it works fast and usually lasts a few days.
Most just prefer to use the cheaper over the counter stuff if it works.
But like Dawn said, in the clinic area on deck 1 when it gets rough they have free pills you can get for it and they seem to work much better than the drug store stuff:thumbsup2

well its friday and I think we are glad here, it has been along week for both of us.
The project manager has been gone sick where greg works so he has been trying to do 2 jobs all week and he is pooped!!

No plans for the weekend here. Just piddle around doing little stuff around here i think.

Ya, my wife's a nurse and is prone to getting "seasick" so we've got all kind of seasick drugs. :sick: :thumbsup2

We'll probably wait and see how the kids handle the ocean before we give them anything though?! :confused3

:sad2: IMO...Big mistake...my kids go whale watching and never...never get seasick! It almost ruined our cruise...it really put a damper on things for sure...we ended up having to leave our brunch at Palo's and Alicia was not allowed in the clubs for 24 hours and then had to get a letter from the doctor. We had to leave dinner twice because Kierra got seasick.:sad2:

I do not plan to give them any med's before our next cruise only if they get sea sick but they will have there sea braclets on before they get onboard...it is what the CM recommended...he told me it's what alot of them do...of course they don't work so well once you are sick...then you have to use med's and by that time they are already feeling yucky...it's just my opinion though...

Hi all,

just doing a quick check in before Greg needs the computer to check his mail.
Been along day today.

Poor Minnie tried to jump on our bed last night and with her short legs and our high bed she fell backwards and landed on her head and also hurt her back left foot. Good thing she has a hard head.
I know her head and foot hurt all last night and when she plays todayyou can see she still hurts some.

we use to have a case of canned food there she could step on and jump onto the bed.
She saw Pixie up there and wanted to join her.

My poor baby, she is always getting hurt. She just isnt real strong in her legs. Vet says it may be due to ehr early abuse. we didnt do the x-rays to see if they had been fractured or broken before. I couldnt bear knowing if they had hit her that hard.

So she is a cuddle bug this evening with me. She always does that when she isnt feeling well.

well off to do dishes and let Greg use HIS computer:lmao:

I will try and check back once more before bedtime.

I have read many times that most pediatricians say younger kids dont get seasick normally because their inner ears arnt fully developed.
Usually when they get ill its due to the change of diet and excitement or hearing people talking about getting seasick. if they think they will get sick, they will.:sad2:

Our grandkids never got seasick, but their dad sure did:lmao: But he loaded with dramamine and was ok after that. But we did have 30 foot seas that trip.


I always bring some meds but we have never needed them, thank goodness.:cloud9:

Yup that's what I thought too...but Alicia was only three...and it was the first day...so not sure why:confused3 but she sure got sick...at that point she was the only one and I had to get med's of other nana's because I only had the braclets and they don't help alot if you get seasick first...our friends two ds never got sick at all though...I guess it depends on the child...I have since found out though Alicia has fluid in her inner ear and may need tubes...so maybe that had something to do with it...

Having too much fluid can make things off for kids. One of my sons had that too. One Dr wanted to do the tubes, the other said wait for a bit, they usually will drain on their own without surgery. He was off balance, coulndt learn to crawl right or walk for along time due to his ears, but we decided to wait it out and they did drain out just fine, but it took almost 2 years:sad2:


I do know Doctors also go by average when they give advice, every kid is different. Hope yours do much better the next time:goodvibes

Hi everyone,

It is my birthday today.

We went down to the local seafront today and played on the arcades and then had lunch.

I got lots of lovely presents.
I also had a lovely day at the zoo yesterday.
They have a little section where tiny monkeys run free and one was nearly on my foot which was cool.

Also we saw some rhinos 'getting friendly' if you know what i was mean and the giraffes wandered over for a look lol.

Well it has been crazy here the past two days...I have no time to look or even think about looking for the nine:sad2: but everywhere you go you see someone looking...I figure by Monday someone should have it found:thumbsup2

Just going to give the girls a bath and get ready to pick up there dance dvd...it's in from there recital. Both girls opted to do hip hop this year instead of ballet...it is so cute!!! Alicia had much more fun then she ever had in ballet. Both girls love dance and speding time with there friends...most of them go to different schools.

Glen is gone golfing...it is a beautiful fall day here...a little cool but beautiful!

Greg I hope you and Holly got some rest today...she should be feeling better no time once the med's kick in.

Anyone have plans for tomorrow? We will probably go to the family swim again...it really helps the girls a lot with there lessons and Kierra really needs some practise swimming on her back before her next lesson.

Greg, we are bone dry too. everything is brown and ugly unless its a watered lawn around here.
Lots of forest fires too. It is that way every September where I am.
By now we are usually wet and cold but even though its cloudy, we are still in the 70's but no rain in site. :confused3

I know we need it desperately , how ever I sure dont want it to start. Living in this RV is will be really easy to have this place smelling like wet dogs when the rain comes. It is too windy to have the awning up which means wet paws and shoes coming inside everyday.
I need to put an inside rug at the top of the steps and a place to leave shoes and change to slippers I guess. Of course that wont help with the paws;)

Greg likes the white meat best , although he likes legs and they are dark. I think he just likes them because they are easy to eat.
Usually I fix him a 6 oz breast and one leg and then one extra breast for the dogs to share.:goodvibes

I wasnt kidding when I once said, 99% of the time they each get a mini dinner of the same foods as Greg:rotfl2: At least I dont have lot of left overs that way.:thumbsup2

They just sit there starring the entire time I am cooking, then run to greet greg when he pulls in. after that they run and sit by the table, just salavating waiting for dinner.:lmao:

If he is eating something they cant have, I have to fix them a fat free hot dog that is cut up in bite size pieces for him to feed them, or a toasted piece of bread with a touch of butter cooking spray for flavor without the fat.
Good thing i dont spoil them:rolleyes1


By the way, if we say want to go to Mc Donalds or Burger king, they know a burger is coming and get really excited.
Then you can say either KFC or chicky meat and they know whats coming too, especially if Greg walks in with a box of KFC, they go nuts drooling all over until they get some.;) I have a special rag to wipe the drooling off the floor with, it is that bad.

Today is phone call work day fo rme.

We got a p.o. box near Gregs work on friday, so now I have to get all the addresses change over to it today.
That is a lot of calls. I did the change of address card for the post office for forwarding stuff, but I like to call and change it all over myself so nothing gets lost along the way.

That doesnt sound hard but the special cake I make for Greg that a diabetic can eat takes alot more time and concentrating on changing out ingredients.
I love baking from scratch, so for me it is fun, but it does take some time about twice as long as a normal cake, plus my oven is small, so onelayer at a time for baking it.


Time to check out the 08 board, then around 8:30 I need to be making some calls. Hope to get in on friday for my outpatient procedure. I am going to call and verufy again they have the proper tube I need!!!! I dont want to have to go back a 3rd time just because they dont have a tube the right size!!!

just 2 small layers and i iwll cut them in half and stack them.

for some reason sugar free cakes just dont rise up as tall as anormal cake, so I always have to double them up:thumbsup2
Since he is the only one who can eat it, I dont want it too big or it will go to waste. It is chocolate, so he cant even share it with the dogs.

It seems that the worst is over...she still has headaches on a daily basis but they are not severe...she doesn't take any med's for them...she wasn't telling us about the headaches at first afraid we would not allow her to go to school and take part in her extra activities:sad2: I noticed she wasn't feeling the best last week and that when she told me she has been getting them everyday at school.

I can understand though, kids think like that.

well at least they are not severe. Maybe her meds would take care of the headaches completely if she were to take them. That would make school easier for her not to be in pain.

It is usually that kind of thing. Of course they will do an autopsy to find out for sure.
It can happen at any age.

Thats one of the ressons they say to snorkel with a buddy close by, if he sees anything unusual they can help you faster, so perhaps they wont drown.But if a heart attack kills you first it wont matter.

sorry for his family, what a terrible thing to happen to them.

Greg likes the white meat best , although he likes legs and they are dark. I think he just likes them because they are easy to eat.
Usually I fix him a 6 oz breast and one leg and then one extra breast for the dogs to share.:goodvibes

I wasnt kidding when I once said, 99% of the time they each get a mini dinner of the same foods as Greg:rotfl2: At least I dont have lot of left overs that way.:thumbsup2

They just sit there starring the entire time I am cooking, then run to greet greg when he pulls in. after that they run and sit by the table, just salavating waiting for dinner.:lmao:

If he is eating something they cant have, I have to fix them a fat free hot dog that is cut up in bite size pieces for him to feed them, or a toasted piece of bread with a touch of butter cooking spray for flavor without the fat.

By the way, if we say want to go to Mc Donalds or Burger king, they know a burger is coming and get really excited.
Then you can say either KFC or chicky meat and they know whats coming too, especially if Greg walks in with a box of KFC, they go nuts drooling all over until they get some.;) I have a special rag to wipe the drooling off the floor with, it is that bad.

Leave off the sauce please. When we make something that she can't have, we'll make it plain for her. Like spaghetti sauce is too spicy, so when brown the meat we'll take hers out before adding the garlic! :rotfl2: Vienna sausage is her ABSOLUTE favorite! Pop that top and she'll come running even if she's getting food from somewhere else! :sad2:

Today is phone call work day fo rme.

We got a p.o. box near Gregs work on friday, so now I have to get all the addresses change over to it today.
That is a lot of calls. I did the change of address card for the post office for forwarding stuff, but I like to call and change it all over myself so nothing gets lost along the way. Will you please PM me your new address please.

That doesnt sound hard but the special cake I make for Greg that a diabetic can eat takes alot more time and concentrating on changing out ingredients. Those recipes we used for Elizabeth cakes were delicious!
I love baking from scratch, so for me it is fun, but it does take some time about twice as long as a normal cake, plus my oven is small, so onelayer at a time for baking it.


Time to check out the 08 board, then around 8:30 I need to be making some calls. Hope to get in on friday for my outpatient procedure. I am going to call and verufy again they have the proper tube I need!!!! I dont want to have to go back a 3rd time just because they dont have a tube the right size!!! Good idea. Friday instead of Wednesday? What time?

Hi everyone,

just taking a 10 minute break.

I have both chocolate layers baked and cooling. After they are cooled I will make a chocolate mocha mousse filling with mini chocolate chips and make a chocolate buttercream frosting to top it off with.

I am so stingy with my sugar free chocolate chips because they cost so much but I am splurging and throwing in a few to make it special for him.


I also decided the pups needed some birthday cake too.
after all they are part of the family too. But dogs cant have chocolate.

so now I have a white layer cooking just for them. No frosting, just a plain white cale layer they can have a small piece of the next few nights while Greg has chocolate cake:cool1:

I also got my medical appointment set for friday morning, so I iwll be late posting that day.

Well I have done all the address changes I am going to do today. My ear is tired of being on the phone so much. Plus my fat fingers keep hitting the wrong digits for credit card numbers which they want you to punch in.

some tell you to say the numbers if you want but it never understands my voice,s o I have to punch in those 16 digit numbers !!!

I kept telling myself, why bother callng these people, we dont owe them anything, so no bills will be coming:confused3 But I do it anyway.

I will finish tomorrow.

well I have the filling made and in the cake, now it is refrigerating for 2 hours before I can make the frosting for it.
Then it iwll be time to start the chicken dinner to go with it.;)

Morning to all,

it is SOOOOO COLD this morning.

Our electricity went off early this morning. we checked all the breakers inside, then the one outside on the RV but it didnt help.:confused3
Then Greg thought about the breaker where we plug in at here and it had flipped. so that fixd that problem,but our new Microwave/convection oven didnt come on still.

we are hoping it has a resert button on the back. If not I only have burners to cook with. Of course its heavy and hard to take out to check, so no time to do it this morning:confused:

at least i have heat.
I would of had it for awhile until the batteries went dead. But now I can have it all day.:goodvibes

Late last night our neighbor came by to warn us he just saw a 50 pound cougar running around the park and the field where my dogs play:eek:
So we need to look before turning them loose to play in the field.

Young cougars sometimes attack because they don't know any better. Or our dogs could chase him into the woods and we could loose them.:scared1:

They usually only come out late evening or early morning, not during the day.

I was so surprized Randy came to warn us. He is the man who had the overdose recently.He is in bad shape still. He was unconscious and they didnt know his history so they realy messed him up badly. He can barely walk with a cane and cant look straight ahead still.

Years ago while working in an emergency room the cops brought in a person high on drugs who broke loose and attacked him. By the time 7 cops pulled the man off, he had broke randys back, broke his neck and 2 ribs. he was in the hospital for weeks and then 5 years physical therapy and was now considered disabled. the doctors moved him roughly and really messed him up.

Neighbors have been walking his dogs and bringing him food to help him.
He is suppose to go to a pain clinic next month to help with the pain.

anyway with all his pain, barely able to walk he came to warn us what he saw out his window.
He is a good neighbor.

Best they learn while they are little.
when they are older they often get scared of the water and its much harder to learn.

I dont swim and I'm too afraid to learn now. so I wade around in the shallow end of the pool. i love the water too.;)

I am not afraid of cougars as long as I know where they are.
The bad thing about cougars, they like to hide in bushes or woods and will stalk then pounce before you even know they are there.

when we hike in the woods we always make lots of noise which usually scares them off.
They also arnt brave enough to come out in the open like the one last night unless they are starving or ill. More than likely he is a young one who was exploring the area away from the woods.

There is a truck stop 1/4 mile from us and its a big one where they park truck and sleep over night as well as gas and food there. They have 20 outside garbage cans around the truck parking area which backs up to the field area where my dogs run. So he might have been looking for food scraps there.

Also almost everynight for the past 2 weeks we have had small flocks of geese land in the field to rest at night. They honk really loud so I know they're there. perhaps he is stalking them for a quick meal too?


Our first house in Florida backed up to a wild life preserve (no fences) and we had a cougar run through our yard alot. Wild boar too, deer all the time. Of course I didnt have dogs then either.
I had aflock of wild turkeys that came through every morning after the other animals. I soon could distinguish each ones personalities or markings and I named them all.
starting with Mickey, Minnie and right down the line. But sometimes a few would be gone, then babies would come and go as they were eaten by predators.:sad2:

I love watching wild life.

I know to keep my distance but I am not afraid of any of them. we were raised out in the woods alot and my dad taught us how to be careful of wild animals, but enjoy them too.:goodvibes

So far this morning we have cougars, strep throat and nines! What an interesting bunch we have!

The DNR keeps saying there are no cougars in Michigan even though numerous sightings and pictures--from credible sources :confused3

Greg, I feel for you. It's alot easier to not spread amongst the older than with the younger.

Jaime, Finding the nine is driving me nuts! Wish I could be there to look! Swimming is such a great sport! It doesn't have to cost you a dime to have a great time!

Elizabeth came over while Stephanie was at the store. She found Scuttle in a Little Mermaid book and we had to find him in her bath toys!

I plan to stop back but if not we leave at 2:30. I'm going to cook some hotdogs, wrap, and take them to eat tonight.

No, but they did take a nice expensive x-ray of my whole back just so they could tell me my back was "out of alignment"! :sad2:

The chiropractor said he could get my back re-aligned for about $1400.00. I said "is that a money back guarantee?" he just smiled. :mad:
