Hi everyone!
I was the organizer for a church team (the Episcopelicans...if you see us)...and was in a severe car wreck 2 months ago. Well, I obviously had to quit training and just recently hit the gym again. I was planning on walking the 5K (which I can do with no problem) but now I am worried about the obstacle course. My leg was really injured and I definately cannot get on my knee (my leg went into the center console during the wreck). A drunk driver hit my family...we are all okay...but I received the majority of the injuries.
Anyway, do I need to be concerned? Does my partner need to worry about not getting her medal?

I'm not sure how to answer since I am new to all this running at Disney stuff and since the EEC is new I am not sure how the obstacle course will be. I do know they were going to try and have a wheelchair friendly course for one of our WISH team members but I don't know how that is turning out.
I just wanted to say I am glad your family is all ok from the crash. I hope your recovery is fast and painless as possible. :grouphug:

I also have no idea about the Expedition Everest race, but I just wanted to add that I am glad that you and your family are all safe. I hope it all works out for you with the race.

First off I am sorry about the car wreck, but very happy you all guys are doing good.
Like the others I am no help, but DH and I will be walking/trotting the 5K as well, so we'll probably see you at the back of the pack. The obstacle course has been labeled as "fun" since the beginning, (one of the reasons I signed up), so I don't think we should be too worried. Also I have the slight suspicion (or wishful thinking) that if they see you REALLY try and you don't succeed for a while they might let you by and go on to the next obstacle... (if at least for traffic's sake).:rotfl2:

I would email DisneySports@trackshack.com and wdw.sports.marathon.endurance@disneysports.com to explain your circumstances and see what you can do.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I am so glad that you and your family are okay. I hope that the EEC folks will work with you, if not, those of us that are nearby can maybe make a distraction long enough for you to slip by!:rotfl2: Just seeing me run may be distraction enough... Seriously, if I can help, just let me know. I will be one of a team with D & W Duo on the shirt.
