We were just at WDW last week for free dining, and i know other DIS'ers got free dining bounceback offers but we didn't get one. Just wondering what the rhyme/reason is for some people getting these offers and others not? Anyone know why we didn't get one? :confused3

Disney missed out, because I'm pretty sure we would have booked again if we'd gotten the bounceback, in spite of the horrible heat and hurricane risks! :scared: The low crowds were SOOOO worth it!

There should have been a brochure in your room (it was on the desk of our suite) and they run the ad on the television set.

Our brochure was on the table next to the dresser. WE stayed at POFQ and the bounceback was for AKL and Caribbean Beach. We didn't take it because we are planning on land/sea cruise next year. If it wasn't for that I would have jumped at the AKL. We stayed there a few years ago and loved it.

Check the bounceback posts on the codes and rates board. Several people have reported getting the offer after coming home if they didn't get the flyer--there is a different phone # to call which is posted. Good luck!

Wow, so it sounds like maybe I just missed it???? Ugh. I would swear, though, that there was nothing on the table. I thought I looked at all the brochures and literature they put in our room. And I totally missed it on the tv. Sheesh.

Thanks! I'm going to check into that.

Does anyone know.....

If you don't get the bounceback offer by the last day of your trip, can you go down to the desk and request one? Will they actually give you one if you haven't gotten one in your room?

Last week at POFQ we went down to the concierge desk and asked if they had the bounceback free dining and they gave us a flyer with the number to call on it. Just ask, they will give you one. I guess the maids are the ones who sometimes forget to put the offers in the rooms, so just ask.

:thanks:

Very good to know! My DH might roll his eyes at me because he will not be ready to even think about another WDW trip, but I might as well take advantage of it, if I can, right?!! :woohoo:

I've already told DH we need to book the bounceback. Both of us will be turning the big five o next Aug/Sept and I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday! :thumbsup2

We stayed at POR (returned yesterday) and didn't get one either. I just assumed it was over but if I had gotten one I would have rebooked.

Other threads have stated that if you don't get a flier in your room, you can call 8844 from your hotel phone or 407-541-5515. Tell the agent you want to book the bounceback and it's code DJX. I'm planning on booking for next year so I'm taking this info with me in case I don't get a flier in my room. :thumbsup2

There wasn't one in our room either. And I never saw it on the TV. I was sort of hoping we'd get one in our room.

You can call and still book it ... My friend called the other day when she got back home and booked it . she told them she didn't get a paper and they let her book it .. so if you want to have free dining next year call and book it ... :thumbsup2

I encourage anyone who wants to bounceback to take info from this board with them. In the three rooms at AKL there was not a single bounceback flyer. I went to the front desk and she say that she did not know anything about any offers. I called the reservation line and was told that I needed to call another number. It took some persistence and even one person who told me that I was not allowed to do this (if it was not for this board, I would have believed, but I kept politely saying, "Hmmm, could that be double- checked..." ) I just thought there would be a flyer in the room- it would have been easier if I would have packed the correct telephone number from the boards and saved me a few minutes.

We didn't get an in room offer either (just got back Sunday night from POFQ) but thanks to this board I knew the offer was out there so DH just asked at the front desk (are you not supposed to do that?:confused3 ) the lady was very nice and offered him the flyer, we booked our bounce back for next year later that day.:goodvibes

August 23 - October 7th or 8th, 2009.

Does anyone know: Do you just have to be checked in by Oct. 7 or 8, or does your whole stay have to be completed by that date? :confused3

I asked the same question in the middle of a different thread and was told by one person that you must check in by the 8th but can stay longer.

I'd like to hear from someone who actually did it though.

It's my understanding that you can check in on October 8 and still have free dining for the length of your stay. However, October 2-8 will be priced higher because it is no longer value season.

Right, I keep forgetting that. Good point. Two years ago we went the first week of Oct. (and loved it) but it was considered value season. In 2007 they changed the season dates and value season ends before Oct. 1. Boo. :sad2:

Thanks for the info!

You're welcome! I'm looking at October 3 -10 next year so I won't get value season either, but I'll take the free dining
