So we are scheduled for our shoot at the mk the day after the wedding BUT my question is .. I don't plan on changing before the reception as I want to wear my dress but is there a way to have it steamed to kind of freshen it up for the next day that night or something ? What have you guys done in the past? :confused3

We had our MK shoot two days later. I didn't have my dress steamed again - it looked fine.
How wrinkle-prone is the material of your dress?

This is the description

i did mine two days later and my dress was fine, i wore it from 12 pm to 12pm our ceremony was at 230pm and then a dessert party.
My dress was more dirty after the mk shoot as they wash everything so it was wet everywhere.
we had a filming down mainstreet on the day we were there and also a crane putting the lights on the castle, we dont have our pics back yet so hopefully they are good

Now don't take this the wrong way, but it appears that your dress is made of polyester :cutie: But this is great news, because poly satin and poly chiffon don't wrinkle very easily - hooray! The chiffon especially will hang out great. :thumbsup2

We are also doing our shoot the next morning (at 5:00am :scared1:) and I do not plan on having my dress steamed. At the moment I am also not redoing my flowers. I am having red and white roses. Any thoughts on this from prior brides?

We did it two days later and I didn't have mine resteamed either, I just hung it up on the curtain and the few wrinkles seemed to fall out. I also didn't have my flowers refreshed (white roses & blue hydrangea) I stuck them in a glass with water from the room for the next two days and they looked exactly the same for the shoot (now the car ride home, that's another story....:lmao: )

Most wrinkles wil fall out if hung up right away. When having a shoot 2 days later, what did you do for hair and makeup??? Did you have it redone so it is the dame as your wedding day??

I had me shoot 4 days after the wedding and my dress did not need to be resteamed. Just hang it up as soon as you take it off and you should be fine. I did have my hair and makeup redone and I am so glad I did.

I didn't have my Maggie dress steamed after the wedding, before the MK shoot either. I will agree with this post though...my dress was filthy on the bottom after the MK shoot.

OOh i have a Maggie dress too, which one did you have?
I am more worried about my DF being able to do my dress up so early in the morning. When Kathleen asked if we would like 5am or 6am is face was a pure picture. I'm gonna giggle the whole way there and hope that he perks up for the pics.

I had the mk the next morning all I did was hang my dress up. I didn't get it steamed. Glad I didn't worry about cleaning it until I got home. It was so dirty after the wedding then the mk session.
