Hey there, are you aware of anything in your area where we can meet with other Disney people. I met a family from Indianapolis this August while there, and she e-mail me this site. They also hooked up with some Disney fans there and they have monthly meetings to share info

Hey, nice to see some one here in the chicago area . DO you or have you met with other disney fans. Would like to know so that I may be included

We were there in July and Aug, we took the Disney Cruise from 7-31 - 8/4 then stayed until the 9th at our home resort Saratoga Springs. Prior to our cruise we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge 7/29-7/31 and the villas are beautiful. And of course Disney thought of everything as far as decorating. When you go on your vacation PLEASE eat at BOMA'S at the Animal Kingdom. The food there is delicious we ate there twice during our stay. But never go down during July or beginning of Aug as it was extremly hot!!!!! I'm sure you know that already. Thanks for responding :yay:

Hi, I am so happy that you signed on you are very close to me. Are/have you visting Disney this yr. We were down in July and Aug. We stayed at the Animal Kindom Resort (Which was truly beautiful) , went on the Disney Cruise, and finished up at WDW at out home resort Saratoga Springs. Would like to keep in touch or maybe meet with others and share ideas and info. Let me know:cheer2: :yay:

There was a Dis meet a while ago (I think it was May) which was a LOT of fun, and there is another one loosly planned for November. I'd keep an eye out for it on the Dis Meet forum, and Podcast forum as we get closer to the date. I hope you can make it :goodvibes

Hi; we're from Carol Stream. We just returned from 9 days in Disney. I know that there were two Dis meets of Chicagoans earlier this year--one at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg and the other Kane County Cougars game.

How was it there this time of yr? I would love to go this time of yr but the kids are in school. Are there still long wait times for rides/ is the weather still extremely warm:) . I am glad that yoo responded and I did find out about the one in Woodfield Mall and some one else told me about one to be held in November. I will keep a look out for the dates as I sure would love to attend.

Hi, What part of the chicago area are you in? You are going to have a wonderful time. The christmas decorations will still be up. We were there 12/27/06 thru 1/5/2007 and it was truly beautiful, and bringing in the new year at hollywood studios was so much fun. Is this your 1st Disney Cruise? If it is reply back and I will give you some tips on the Mouse and his friends. How old are your children(if you have any or just a bid diser like my husband and I, :laughing: but our last 2 are 16,11). Where are you staying while on land? We are DVC members Saratoga Springs since 06. Drop a note when you can and I will give you tips. Nice to meet you again.:cheer2:

How was your trip? I'm sure it was wonderful. One of my son's football teammates went around the columbus day which was cool and they had a wonderful time.

I'm new to the boards, I'm in Chicago and I'm a Disney nut! :) Just went last month and planning on hitting Disneyland in January. Nice to meet you!

Let me know how it is there, we have never really had any urges to go there, we don't think we will have as much fun because they don't look as tho they can compare with the world as it has so much more property. Also if you get a chance really look into the Disney Vacation Club it is truly worth the investment. We went on the Disney Cruise this summer and stayed at both Animal Kingdom and Saratoga Springs (our home resort) and did not have to pay a dime. It is truly the best kept secret because I wish I would have known about it because we go every year and could of saved some serious money. again let me know how you like Disneyland. Hi, Just checking in did you decide about becoming a member? Was at the Woodfield Mall over the week-end and visited the Disney site where you can view a studio at the Animal Kingdom and possible sign up to become a member. That was really nice to see. They will be opening up a version of what will be available at the new Bay Lake Tower which is added on to the Contemp resort. Talk to you soon Hope you joined.:woohoo:
