Hi this is what I have in the planning right now.
Friday Sept 11th thur Sunday Sept 20th 2009 9 nites 10 days:banana:
Looking at staying at a value resort. Last time we stayed at All Star movies , it was really nice and we all enjoyed it. I would recommend this to anyone going for the 1st time, especially if you have children, or just love the disney movies.:thumbsup2
We wll do the Disney Dining plan:cool1: Hoping to get free dining:goodvibes :goodvibes as I said before my boys LOVE to eat. and we enjoy all the different resturants.
Many DISers have sugguested DVC since we are a large group, the cost and getting the points worries me here. I guess I'm just not sure how this works?:confused3
We would do seperate rooms, as it just makes sleeping easier and more bathrooms. Have thought about All star family suite for daughters and son in laws DH and I would get a seperate room. Daughter #2 saw a Disney special on TV that talked about POPs and got very excited about it and asked to check it out. I have read alot about it and I think it might be the one.And suggustions?
A question here? wouldI be smart to book a pkg now? we are hoping for FREE dining. I know there are no guarntees. that it will be offer again in 2009. The sooner you book the better choice of getting a better room?
We will pay for the dining if we have to.
The places I would like to eat this time are Chef Mickey, The garden grill and Narcocess's and lLe Cellier.
I am really worried about the cost of air fare. I have tried to look at what airfare are now and what they are 6 months from how, since I cant get prices yet. Any sugguestion on how to get good deals on airfares?
Well thanks for reading, hope everyone i s haveing a magicial day.

Hi again The new theme is what are you celebrating
We will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary:banana: :banana:I 'm really excited about this!! We are planning a dinner at Narcoossee's for all of us. I enjoy celebrating with my whole family. Hoping to plan the reservation so we will be able to see the electicial water parade and wishes:thumbsup2 We ar e thinking about matching t-shirts. Thinking about getting my Dh one of the fishing trip on the seven seas lagon. Has any one done this? any tips?
Has any one brought tickets from someplace other than Disney? Could you please tell me about it?
I hope everyone is having a magical day and that someone will read my pretrip report

Hi I found you after about 3 scrolls thru the board, think I need new glasses ! I have stayed at Pop and loved it, they just got new mattresses which I will test in May ! I am also going in Sept with family and friends . The friend really wants to try Movies and we are kinda leaning that way ! Although I willalways be a Popper !!Pop's food court is great the kids loved the steak wraps and meI loved the crusted parmeson chicken with alfredo and breadstick. DD loves the tyedye cheesecake there . We like the 60's best for family as it is close to the Hippy Hoppy pool but the 50's and 70's are great too. They also have Goofy jets which your DGS would love !! Pop has it's own bus and I seldom waited long for one .Movies sounds good too though I am just a little concerned about sharing buses with the other Stars !! I haven't been to Narcosses yet but plan to in May so will report back on that!! Iam likeyou very computor illiterate , hence my Focker title !! Believe me I take some ribbing for it . All in good fun though!! Well good night for now !!
I usualyy go thru AAA for my packages !

Tonite I went On the WDW Resort travel planning.and this is the quote I got:thumbsup2
Sept 11th thur Sept 20 2009
Magic your way plus dining
10 day park hopper
POP CENTURY
$2167.38
This would be for 2 adults, We would be getting three rooms. This doesn' t include air fare as it too early to book that.
Tommorow I will try to call Disney travel., I preferred to talk to someone rather than book online. Last time we used AAA and I was not happy, they where not helpful or friendly. I'm hoping by using Disney travel to get some pixie dust thrown in.
Well goodnite Roise. since you seem to be the only one reading my PTR.
Have a wonderful tomorrow.

MY vacation is booked::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo pluto: pooh: :eeyore: :tink: :smickey: `!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 rooms at POP Century
10 day park hoppers
And dining $5893.42
The castmember I talked to, was very helpful. actually I talk to two different castmembers, showhow I got disconnected, and had to call back and start again . I fe lt bad because the 1st girl was very nice and excited for me.
I was asked if we where celebrating anything! I had already told them that my daughter had gotten engraged on our trip in 2006. She had already noted that on their resevation. and but on mine that we where celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary! And grandson 1st trip on other, so looks like everyone will be celebrating something:cool1:
I reguested connecting rooms and a ajoining room for the other, it was noted on the resvevation, also a refrigator is need because I have to take shots every day. I ask for a lake view, but she said there was no lake at POPs.??????
She did quote me a price for a 2 bedroom villa that would sleep 7 for $8851.70, just a bit out of my budget.:lmao: She also said that airfares for my dates are our out about 331 days before, so I can add it then,or look around.
I very very excited about this makes it seems closer and I feel I got some pixie dust todaypixiedust:
i'm doing the happy dance today:dancer:

I went to library and there was 2009 unofficial guide to WDW:thumbsup2 It has some pretty colored pictures in it. I also found a book 100 years of Disney!! so I got some wonderful reading to do.
I also ordered a 2009 Passporter, I really liked my 2006 one. and I also got some of the 1$ one for my daughters.
Next week I think we will be starting our monthly family disney nite discuss trip plans and share ideas. Need to get info on what everyone would like to do and eat. Some of the ones from our last trip our Chef Mickey's, Coral Reef, Tony's Holly wood and Vine. the Paris one (sorry can't remember the name) and the Spirt of Aloha. I already know ::MickeyMo that everyone want to do Chef Mickey.
I wish I could get some idea about airfare, I WORRY about the cost here.
maybe I can get some pixie dust pixiedust:

WOW! Sounds like you're really under way now!
Did you try Dreams Unlimited Travel? I've requested quotes from them before and they've been really helpful. I've never been able to bring myself to actually booking through a travel agent-too much of a control freak for that!
I love the monthly Disney night to plan! That's such a great idea!!
I'm still a newbie to Disney too but I will think about your trip and offer suggestions as I go along if you don't mind :goodvibes
For resorts, are you better off at the values or would maybe two rooms at someplace like Port Orleans be better where 5 people can be in each room? I don't know if it's any cheaper-you could play around on the Disney website to see what kind of deal you can get.
I'll pray for some free dining pixie dust for you! If that doesn't work, hopefully you'll get a pin code and save a ton of money! :wizard:
Sounds like it's going to be such a fun trip! I'm so excited for you guys! It's going to feel like forever!! It'll be nice to have all that time to plan though.
You need to Google Disney recipies and make fun snacks for your Disney meetings each month. popcorn::
If you use credit cards, think about getting a Disney VISA one...you'll earn money for your trip and you've got awhile to earn that money...you could have quite a bit by the time your trip rolls around. You also get a 10% discount at World of Disney in DTD and can go to the special character meet and greet in EPCOT (we didn't make it to this in Sept but it's a MUST DO for Dec-I'll let you know how it goes!).
Alright...I should probably get back to work now. Keep up the Disney planning! :goodvibes

I just found your pre-trip report and I'm enjoying reading it. Its so nice that even though your daughters are grown you are all still traveling together! It will be wonderful to share your grandson's first trip to see Mickey. My daughter is only 18 but my husband and I already talk about when she marries and has kids (after finishing college) and getting to take them their first time. Enjoy planning your trip it really increases the anticipation and builds the magic!!

:worship: What a great thing to find on a rainy morning when this cold is kicking my butt! Thank you so much for the kind words! :flower3:
I'm into planning myself-as you probably know!-so I couldn't use an agent either! :goodvibes
As for the best seller, I doubt that by far...maybe after a few hundred more trips or so.
Of course I'll offer suggestions as I think of them. If you want to know something in particular, just ask! I'll be glad to share! Did you book as a Grand Gatherings package? I would think because there are so many, you would fall under that category...I'm not familiar with it at all but can help you do some research if you'd like. Do you have 7 or 8?? My brain's not working this morning... The current Grand Gathering pins are cute Incredibles pins-I saw quite a few around the parks on our last trip.
I don't know about next September-would love to if we can get free dining...wait until I get to booking the bounceback in my TR...:sad2:
Alright...off to file this morning. Happy Planning!! When I get rid of this nasty cold, I'll have better suggestions for you I promise!:goodvibes

Yeah sounds like they're pretty close in age-only about a month apart. It's a very cool age. Carter's picking things up so quickly these days. Thanks to Crush, his new favorite word is "Duuuuuude!" :rotfl:
I wish I would have done the first haircut thing at Disney-what a special memory! Best to see what mom thinks :goodvibes Us moms, we can be a bit crazy sometimes!
The boys love looking through the Disney planning books and finding new things. Carter's all about the pictures and Corbin loves the maps. He's always looking for treasure! :rotfl:
I had my December stuff out at dinner last night. I think I've convinced Dan to upgrade to deluxe dining if we can afford it. That means I get to pick more places to eat! :woohoo: He leaves on Sunday for two weeks so I should be able to get a lot done while he's gone. :thumbsup2
Have a nice day!

Yes It is a cute age:goodvibes L anden is the 1st boy in our family in 65 years:love:
everyone in my family had girls, we trying to figure out what call me sometimes it sounds like grammie, and other times it mommom or mama
His favortite words are truck and papa and Mickey of course:banana:
Corbin looking for treasure I hope he find some.
Grandmas can get crazy too!:rotfl:

I have made a WDW trip planning Binder:thumbsup2 After joining the DIS in June 2008. I found so MUCH wonderful information, that I had paper all over mu computer Desk:rotfl2: I would try to explain something to my family that I had learn, and where was that info:confused: I then searched:surfweb: for how others keep the info together. I found a thread by newtodis:goodvibes that had pages for sections you could print out for a notebook  So I printed out sections for general info., tickets , buget, theme parks, resorts, dining, shows, tips and added a special one for taking young children (this is my grandson 1st trip) Thanks :flower3: Newtodis
I decorated the front to say Walt Disney trip Planning Sept 2009
I also put a Mickey and Minnie on the cover::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
I think I will add sections for airfares,Characters meets/autographs, Tee shirt DISigns, Can anyone think of anything else? I have also save some spread sheets to use later when I plan interany , Of course if
I can figure out how get the info on them:laughing: . Can anyone tell how to just get certain info off a thread, for example on a thread about things to pack and I only want certain tips how to I get just those with out printing out the whole thread?
I received DISNEY mail today:tinker: I was our cofirmatiom letter:cheer2:
They had e-mail me it, but I was missing one ( we have 3 rooms booked)
So I had called and they said that they would mailed them so we all got letters:yay:
They have noted 35th anniversary:hug: and under arcade play , miniature golf, planet hollywood, sea raycer have also noted anniversay maybe we will get some extra pixie dustpixiedust:

YAY for the binder!! I'm so glad you were able to find something you liked! I made an AWESOME binder for friends of ours that are noe debating if they want to go in Dec with us or not. I need to make the copies for myself and get my binder going. I have one but it's not nearly as cool as the other one I made. I took mine on our last trip and it helped a lot!!
There's a list on the theme parks board too of "free" things to do and fun places to take pictures. I printed those off for my binder-didn't much use them as reference in the parks, but saw some of them and sparked my memory while in the parks about places to look for.

I'm a scrapbooker too!! Creative Memories has a ton of very cool Disney stuff that's new. The Hallmark store also has a "pre-made" Disney scrapbook that you can buy. They also have little flip books and a frame and magnetic frame. Your DGS might like the flip book. I got one for Corbin to use. It was reasonably priced too.

Grace I really don't use the "Turing Plans" as they usually include coaster rides that I don't do !I use the ideas /tips from these boards and make my own. Everyone agrees the secret is be there by rope drop and rush to your favorite ride to either FP or ride !So for a solo ,it will be different than when I am planning for the family. I have a rough idea of my touring plans for May but haven't really done too much for Sept as I have to find out what everyone wants to do and then make plans a Solo trip is much easier !!

Sounds like you've got quite the list!!! That's wonderful!
We're eating at the castle in Dec and I'm excited. I've read the food's not great-I don't care! I just want to eat in the castle!!!!
We loved the boat from the TTC to MK-very relaxing.
I would love to see the rope drop show at MK. We saw AK on our first trip and it was great!
I love Spectro and hopefully we'll be able to see it in Dec. We didn't make it on this trip-too many other things to do with Grandma.
The boys hit Dumbo first time, first ride this trip and they loved it! I'm sure we'll be doing it again! :goodvibes
Love Mickey (and friends!!!) and photopass for the family pictures. Nice to have a couple with everyone in a picture.
That's about all I've done from your list-you're way ahead of me!! :rotfl:
We've never seen the day parades 'cause that's usually when the boys are sleeping. They love the monorail so we try to ride that as much as possible really.
Your grandson will love the Playhouse Disney part of DHS if he's anything like my boys. There's a Plahouse Disney Live on Stage show (both times we've seen it it's been My Friends Tigger and Pooh, Handy Manny, Little Eistiens and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse). You can also meet Jojo and Goliath, Little Einstiens and Handy Manny right outside the show building. This is pretty much a "must do" for us.
It's too hard for us to do the coasters with the kids being so little. I'm not too much of a coaster person but Dan had his chance when his mom was with us and he still didn't want to so I'm not sure what's up with that???

We never used the baby swap thing since the only thing anyone rode on that the boys couldn't, I just stayed with the boys and we did something else (that day's coming up in my TR!!).
No the castle meal is the day after my birthday but it'll be my first day waking up at Disney (as the plans stand right now).

I want to come to Disney night! It sounds like so much fun! I hope people are as excited when we try to get them to come with us!! Make binders and banks! I wasn't thinking, I should have picked up the stuff to finish my binder when it was all on sale with the back to school stuff earlier this year. Of course, now most of the stuff is on clearance so maybe I can still get a good deal on it! How fun! Disney dollars for the Disney banks! That will be so wonderful for the kiddos-sure to get them excited!!
Chorse are overrated (coming from a woman who spent her weekend doing them!). :rotfl2: I told Corbin I'm going to make him a Chore Chart so he can start helping out and earning something at Mickey's house. :thumbsup2

Silly me how could I forgot such and importaant part of my family:lmao:We have an addition the the family  It's MY Pal Mickey::MickeyMo
When I was planning our 1st trip my daughter #1 found some info on My Pal Mickey, She told me I should get this because I love Mickey and WDW . I thought about it and thought it would be something I would really like and could share it with the Grandchildren:lovestruc and put it on my wish list.:thumbsup2
On our 1st night at ASM I check out Pal Mickey but did not buy I thought it silly for a old lady to buy this, and cost a more than I thought:sad2:
The next morning we ate breakfast at Chef Mickey. and went in the gift shop there, and Pal Mickey just keep calling my name:laughing: and saying he wanted to come home with me :mickeyjum and I thought it was a fitting souviner of My 1st meeting with Mickey!!
Pal Mickey has been To WDW 4 times since he has come home:yay:
The 1st time with my best friend and her family.
The 2nd time with a friend and her grandchildren on their 1st time.
The 3rd time with a friend from work a grand gathering.
the 4th time a my best friend cousins family on therir 1st time
Each time I ask for just a picture of them with Pal Mickey in one of the parks,I don't care where. Each time I get my picture it from the Magic Kingdom:) Pal Mickey also has come home with gifts he now is the pround owner of a tourist outfit complete with camera and a rain coat. I guess I will have to get him som p.j. for our trip:lmao:
And now for the update on our Disney nite (last night)
We had lasanga that my daughter made.
The grandson and I made sugar cookies shaped like Mickey::MickeyMo for dessert.
I was not able to get to Disney store to get Disney dollars. So I make some of my own:idea: I have a mickey head punch , so I punch out red Mickey heads and cut greeb card stock 3 x 4 strips, and put stickers and marked them with different amounts . put on the back I.O.U. return to the
Bank of M.O.M. for Disney Dollars. On the front they said Mickey Money.

Silly me how could I forgot such and importaant part of my family We have an addition the the family  It's MY Pal Mickey::MickeyMo
When I was planning our 1st trip my daughter #1 found some info on My Pal Mickey, She told me I should get this because I love Mickey and WDW . I thought about it and thought it would be something I would really like and could share it with the Grandchildren:lovestruc and put it on my wish list.
My grandson help me put the stickers on.
Grand sonand I watch ed Sing Along at Disneyland. He was yelling MIckey and dancing with the songs, :goodvibes

I'm finally here! I guess I didn't realize that you had a PTR until you mentioned it on Lynn's TR. As far as posting pictures, I figured it out, therefore you can. Are your pictures loaded onto your computer? If not, get them there and then you can join photo bucket for free. Once you've done that, I'm sure that Lynn or I can help you. I'm still not so good at it, but I try.
I looking forward to reading about your plans. I haven't started a PTR, still think it's too early for me. I have, however made a countdown calendar that I can start to use on Dec 31. Here it is.

I decorated our room (pictures in TR) and put window clings on the window and we were NOT charged. I'd read that as well before we left and decided I'd give it a shot and see what happened. What I got from those threads were people who were getting charged were using tape or actually paining on the windows. That I did not do at all. I also took everything down before we left so there was nothing for mousekeeping to have to clean up really.
You can start one whenever you want. Your grandson is still pretty little so maybe not too far out. Maybe try making one for Christmas and see how he likes that-there aren't that many days until Christmas unfortunetly! If he gets into that, then after Christmas make one for Disney or Easter or something. There are always tons of Disney stickers at our dollar store-you could use those for sure. I've seen people make paper rings and make a chain out of paper decorated with the stickers. I've seen people "borrow" the mickey head paint chips from Home Depot. You could use those and write numbers on them. There are lots of ways to do it! I can't wait until Lisa explains how she made that-it looks amazing!
Our Dec trip is 12/13-17 and I talked to our friends today that are going-the wife anyways-and they're for sure coming 12/14-16 so that's cool! At least they'll be there for a couple of days...now I just have to find a room for them!:rolleyes1

O.K., so you might want to do it differently than I did. I just went to Home Depot and took a lot of Mickey Head paint chips and got a dirty look from the paint counter lady. So, since you have quite a bit of time, you could just start collecting them a little at a time. (I didn't clean them out, just so you know) I just took some from each color. I made a little stand out of chip board, covered in some leftover Disney paper, punched two holes in the top and put the jump rings in. So, I had a long strip of chip board and folded it into a triangle, with the flat part on the bottom. Then, as far as the numbers, I used Quick Kutz numbers and ran them through the zyron and placed them on the Mickey heads. Stapled some bright ribbon randomly and that's it. Wasn't hard, just took some time. It was a lot of fun. I have 180 days to count down. And I figured we would start counting down Dec.31.

We had a great night! Our football team won again tonight 48-14. We are ranked #6 in the state, in our division of course.
Do you have the Disney cartridge for the Cricut? If you didn't want to get the paint chips, I have a large Mickey head punch that you could use, well you could find one in your neck of the woods, and put them on cardstock. Either way would work. It was a lot of fun. Your GS is very young, too young to understand Disney dollars. That's what I've done in the past is buy DIsney dollars for the kids and put them in their own envelopes. They like that.
Gotta go to bed now. Hope you had a great night! I'm flattered that you want to use my idea! Thank you

I've got the Cricut-got a super good deal on Black Friday last year. There's bound to be another this year-I've already seen the prices dropping throughout the year. The cartridges will probably be on sale again too. I've got the Xyron sticker maker (a big and small one) and they come in handy a lot! Personally, I use the smaller one a lot more than the bigger one so maybe start there. It runs about $10 but if you find one of those stores (Micheal's as an example) that uses the 40% off coupons, it'll be a lot cheaper than that. Then when you don't have anything else to use the coupons on in the future, just use them to buy the refills for the machine that way you're stocked up.

You're so nice to say that I'm nice! Aparantly you don't know me so well:rolleyes1 :rotfl: You guys are the cleaning fools! I did a load of laundry, my dishes, and straightened up the living room for the 15th time today. I don't like to clean on Sat because everybody is home and in my way. Who am I kidding, I don't like to clean ANY day!! :lmao: But, when I worked full time cleaning day was Saturday because that' when I had the time and energy to it. Good job you guys!! :thumbsup2
My youngest is going to the first cheerleading competition of our season this weekend in Columbus. They have come a long way as a group and are looking really good. If you've never been or seen one of those competitions, it is incredible and really fun to watch. My DH doesn't enjoy sitting there all day watching it, but I do.

Here is DD Abby at our last competition this past spring. Her stunt group placed 2nd. I was so proud. They all look so cute in their uniforms!
K, I can't figure out why the top picture is sideways!!! I fixed it in Picasa, and I fixed on Photobucket! It shows it right side up on Photobucket too. UGH!!! Well, Abby is the one on the top:sad2:
You have been very nice to me! I work Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sun 9-5 and Mon and Tues. I watch Landen at his house, so Sat is the only day I can get things done. I am head tech at the one hour photo at Discount Drug Mart.
I have seen some cheerleading competitions on TV I always wish thery show more. I can only see two pictures one of three girls, and one of Abby
She very prettyprincess: Maybe if they have a competion near Kent/Akron my daughters and I might be able to come. Maybe they will go far enough to compete at WDW:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
What is your other daughter name and son too.
My daughters #1 Corrina ( we call her Corri) she 32
daughter #2 Kyleen (we call her Kylie) she 27

I agree with the fool part (about me of course!):rotfl: I just got back from getting the boy's hair cut (I'll have to take a picture tonight to share) and got the livingroom picked up and vaccumed. I really should dust and such but I'm not feeling up to it tonight! They're having dinner so I guess I should clean the kitchen next. They probably need a bath tonight too...:scared:
Grace----that's too bad that you can't go tonight. Housework will be there tomorrow. :upsidedow I can't wait to take the boys to get pumpkins. There were HUGE ones at the grocery store the other day.
Alright...off for more cleaning!

Grace, I don't know what happened to my pics. When I first looked at them, the top one was sideways and now it's upright. Oh well. I will always be nice to you and my friends on the DIS. :lovestruc
My oldest DD is Katie and she is 17 and a Junior. My son is Travis and he is 15and a freshman. Then Abby who is 9.
Did you find a big pumpkin tonight? I thought I read that somewhere. We haven't gotten ours yet. I haven't even gotten out my Halloween decorations. Last year I didn't decorate for Halloween at all because of Harvey's injury. I was his nurse, bath giver, and driver for quite a while, plus taking care of all the other mom things. I was very tired this time last year. Part of the decoration issue is that I have to get under the stairs and you know how those things go. You have to take everything out and put everything back within 3 weeks time. It's such a pain in my arss. But my DSIL and her family are coming for Halloween, so I suppose I should look somewhat festive.
Have a great night!!

So if they win first place, that team goes to Disney to compete? That would be so fun!:cheer2: We are a small group of 16 girls. It's a new gym and so of course we want more people to join, but they have fun and really love each other. We won't go to Orlando to compete, our coach doesn't want it to so expensive. We are only doing four competitions this year, which is o.k. for me. It can get SO expensive, but it's a lot of fun.

Looking forward to the photo pass pictures:thumbsup2 I will have to look into the cost for prepaying for our trip, last time I just had all the pictures put on a CD at the park.
I have had a great weekend:banana: Last nite we went to "Boo at the Zoo"
It was Great!!! Landen went as MICKEY MOUSE::MickeyMo my daughter brought the costume from disney shopping as a Surprise for me. He looked so adorable:love: The zoo parking lot was full so we had to park at lot about 6 blocks aways and the bused us over to the Zoo . Landen loved the Bus ride!! Today we went to a wedding shower, the couple got lots of nice things. Somethimes I think it would be nice to have another shower after you are married so long:rotfl2:
And the other big news is Landen can say GRANDMA:yay: he said names for everyone else, My DH is PAPA actually everthing is papa truck, papa bike, papa car of course he does say lots of words, bus, dog , kitty, chesse and Mickey an GUF (for goofy) actually he says GRAMMA. It the best feeling to see him runing to me with his arms opening yelling GRAMMA GRAMMA:lovestruc :lovestruc

AWWW! How sweet you get to hear Landen say Grandma!! :cutie:
I miss that Abby wants to go to the zoo. Although, I haven't offered to take her so that might have something to do with it.
My Disney planning is still there. Just waiting until next payday to make another room payment. I got a job at JC Penny on Fri. I will be working on the pricing team, 6 a.m. to about 1 p.m. I don't know how many days a week yet, but I'm just excited to have a little extra $$ coming in. Hopefully this will tie be over until maybe the school calls.
Abby had her cheer competition yesterday and I'm smashed!! I was up at 4 a.m. and in bed by 12:45 a.m. Up almost 24 hours! I had a 3 1/2 hour nap today. They took first place in her stunt group and 7th in the group competiton. They had a whole point deducted for an illegal stunt, and had they not had that they would've taken 4th. They did great and we were so proud of them.
I'm glad to hear that your family is feeling better. Hopefully you will fight the bug.

That was the trickiest part...you have to figure out where your pictures are on your computer. If you go to the photobucket website, then sign in (or create an account), it'll ask you to upload your pictures and you can pick where to get them from-I always pick computer. It'll bring up another window for you to go through your folders and find your pictures. Once you find them, left click on them (while holding down the "clrt" key if you have more than one to upload). Once you pick all of them you click "open" or something like that and it'll copy them from your computer to photobucket. Once they're in photobucket, you can click on the IMG link to copy it and paste it here for us to see! :goodvibes

The job thing hasn't started yet and I'm getting a little annoyed. I recieved a letter from them stating that I have the job as long as my background check is o.k. It said on the letter that that can take 5-7 business days. I got the job late last Friday, so tomorrow will be the 5th business day. If I don't hear anything, then I will call them on Monday and see what's up. I just got my passport this year and I know that you can't be a felon to get one of those. THe guy at Pennys said it depends on how many places I've lived that determines how long it takes. I've only lived in 3 states since 1990, but I've moved a lot.
Anyway, I'm playing the waiting game and would like to start soon so that I can get a paycheck!!!

Just to let you know yes a felon can get a passport ! Theonly requirement is that they are not on parole ! This is a fact as I personally have seen a passport issued to a 2 x convicted felon ., who hid nothing and was told what I said . He's a different person now but nevertheless is a felon !!

Hi Grace. I saw your post on Lynn's PTR and thought I'd respond on yours. DH back is doing better. Yesterday I was really worried about him. There were a couple of times that he looked near tears when he would get up to walk.
Abby had a competition a couple of weeks ago and has one this weekend at the Kalahari by Cedar Point.
How are things there? I'm sure not much planning is going on at the moment because your trip is still pretty far out. That's about how things are here. I'm just trying to prepare my body for our trip. I went to the gym today and plan on going everyday. Plus, I need to adopt better eating habits too. I don't expect to be a size 6, but a litlle smaller than I am now.
I'm working on Wed morning. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm glad you're getting excited for Disney. JC Penny sells Disney merchandise, so I get a little bit of happiness during the day! :)
Happy Birthday to Landen in Dec. I'm not good at remembering dates. So, happy day early. :yay:
Yes, Abby has a competition on Sat. She's very excited for it and so am I. I love watching cheerleading. It's just amazing to me the things some of these girls can do. Whoever says cheerleading isn't a sport hasn't watched a performance. Then girls leave practice, sometimes, looking like they've just completed a boxing match! :scared:
I haven't found airfare yet. I don't usually get airfare until I'm closer to Mar/April. What about you? Have you seen any since you signed up for Airfare Watchdog?
Well, I have to work tomorrow so I better get to bed. Have a good night and a good day at work!

My grand daughters are cheerleaders ! They have to practise at least 3 nights a week and then cheer on the weekends and go to several competitions! It is good exercise !!

Well hello friend. So sorry to hear about your SIL's father. That is just awful. He was so very young. It's so hard to see someone pass away when they have so much life left to live. It's hard when anyone dies, just so sad. My thoughts are with you and your family that you will find comfort in your sorrow.
I really am liking my job. The hours are great and I really like the people that I'm working with. I've only been there 3 weeks and I already feel like I know so much. I want to learn a lot so that they'll want to keep me. My supervisor really wants me to stay on after the holidays, but there isn't a position available. She's told me that she will see what she can do to keep me because she really would like me to be able to stay. It is what it is, and my DH said it's not worth it to him for me to open up my availability, which would make it easier for them to keep me.
I got some great deals the other day. I got two desk lamps, christmas gifts, that were marked down to $1.97 and two pairs of shorts marked down to $2.97 for DS. I had a $5 gift card plus my 20% off ended up paying $1.75 total! That was my best deal ever!!! :woohoo: Today I got 3 bed pillows and a new pair of shoes for $49. It's a good thing I get paid Friday :rolleyes1

Rose-What a neat way to "seperate" a shared room like that.
YAY for the train ride! Sounds like it'll be a lot of fun! I wish we had something like that around here. That's the one thing I've noticed-there aren't a lot of things we used to do in MI here-no pumpkin patches to pick pumpkins for Halloween, no snow for Christmas (we already knew that of course!). Now we just have to find new, fun things to do! :goodvibes

The Polar express train ride was wonderful. We all had a great time. Landen liked the train. the ride was a little long and he got a little figidite, but when we got the north pole, he was all excited he saw "frosty" and the elves and was waving and yelling, later Santa appreared in a one horse opened sleigh. Santa came on the train and talked to each child, and gave them each a bell.
On Sat Landen will be 2:banana:  We are going to build a bear. Corri is going to have Landen's binkeys but in a bear. She is having a party for him in the evening.
I hope eveyone has a good tomorrow.:)

but two weeks ago he gets laid off. He applied with and employment agency and start a new job on Monday:cheer2: but not sure if he will be able to get time off with not working for a year. daughter #2 is not sure she wants to with out him. This the couple that got engaged at WDW in 2006.
Daughter #1 (Grandson mommie) REALLY need a vaction!! She has been going thur some personal problems and needs some magic.pixiedust:
If D#2 and SIL#2 are not able to go, we just share our room with D#1 and grandson. we would be able to add D#2 in the room too if she decides to go (4 adults and 1child under 3)

Oh I hope everything works out for your trip and everyone's able to go. Keep your eyes and ears open - I hear there are to be some amazing deals all year long in the lines of vacation and travel so you may just find something great.
One site for flights is orbitz. They keep advertising that if you book a flight and someone else books it cheaper, they refund you the difference. That's kind of nice. I don't know the specifics but might be worth looking into if the prices compare. Also try and sign up for different email announcement things. I get them from Airtran and another site sidestep.com I think) and there have really been some great deals in them lately. We've found if you have different options as far as airports, that can usually help. It might also be worth it for you to just leave a night sooner than you'd planned and drive, stopping half way or whatever to stay overnight. I know it's not as easy, but you'd (probably) all be able to ride together, plus you'd have a vehicle while you're there which is always nice.
Thanks for checking out my TR last night...I'm finally getting started! :goodvibes

Hey Grace. I'm so happy to hear good employment news! No new plans here, except we are driving. (I didn't know if you read that on my PTR or not)
Have you figured out how to post pics yet? I would love to see your calendar. It sounds like a great idea. Have a great week!!!
Yes It is Great news!! :goodvibes I so happy that he was able to get a new job,:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I did read that you where driving I would like to drive, I enjoy seeing the new places but we have a truck and the kids have small cars, we would propuarly have to take two cars, which I'm not sure if that would be any cheaper for us, and I don't know how to drive so it would leave all the driving up to hubby.
No :confused3 I still have not figure out how to post pictures, I just so computer illerate:confused: I thought the calendar came out Cute!! Thanks for the complement
I hope you have a good week too!!:) :)

Hey Grace! Glad to hear the calendar came out well.
YAY for the 40% off code!! That's wonderful!! I keep hoping for one of those crazy pins but we're still not lucky enough to get one. I wonder if maybe we book something through them we'd have a better chance to get a pin?? Who knows anymore.
If you're thinking about driving and want just a bigger vehicle, you could look into renting a car. I've read many positive things about priceline naming your own price and getting a decent car for around $10-$15/day. It might be worth it if you were all able to ride together and save the wear and tear from your own vehicles....just a thought if you're looking for a way to make it work.
Have a wonderful night!

Hi everyone:)
Yesterday I rolled to change we have been collecting since our Disney nite in Oct when we each made a vacation bank.
We have saved $285.00 :cheer2: :yay:
and we have not counted the pennies yet!!!
Corri has suuguested that maybe we look into driving again, we would have to rent a car if we drive, nome of our cars are big enough.
It 's looking like Kylie and Josh won't be able to go:sad1: he probraly wont be able to get the time off, I have not canceled their reservation yet.
I started my countdown calendar today!
194 days :dance3:
Have a wonderful week everyone!:grouphug:

Sorry to hear about Kylie and Josh.

Hi everyone
Not a lot of trip planning news.
Still trying to figure out Fly or Drive:confused3 :confused3
Flying about $250-300 per person
Driving renting a car $350-400 plus gas (this would change trip date a little)
I've been spending a lot of time today on the Dis, I need to feel the magic.
This is a hard week for me my mother passed away 4 years ago on 3/12/05:angel: I miss her sooooo much. She was a loving mommy and wonderful grandmother, She lived to be 92 years old. She still live in my heart and my memmories. and people often say I remind them of her in my actions and looks, which means alot to me
It because of her that I was able to realize my dream of taking my family to WDW, when she passed I received a small inheirtance, and althought there where other places the money proburaly should have been use for I decided ( with hubby o.k.) That I would take everyone to WDW. and I know she would be happy that I use it in that way.
So you see beside giving me life, raising me to be a good person who has faith in God,teaching me right from wrong and be a advid reader, she gave me my life long dream of a trip to the happiest place on earth with my family.
Thank you Mommie I:love: You
Thanks everyone for listening it help to be able to write this:grouphug:
maybe some time in my PTR i will tell you all about our wonder trip to WDW'

Here's some  for you Grace. Sorry that you are feeling the loss of your mom this week.
As far as Disney goes, I just saw your post about flying or driving. I can't believe that your airfare is so much! It looks like the driving is financially better, but it just depends on whether or not you want to spend the money to fly.
I found Southwest tickets out of Detroit for $59 each way. I would just have to cut a day off. I don't know. I didn't have the money to buy the tickets when I found them. So, I'll just keep looking and maybe one day I'll have the money at the same time the tickets are cheap.

I hope everyone will help me by crossing their Fingers and Toes and do the "free dining dance" that On March 30th i will be able to add it my reservation>:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:
Here's the cost so far:
2167.38 for 2 adults, dining plan and 10 day park hoppers. We book 3 rooms (no discounts)
plans change add Corri and Landen to our room
$2935.98 3 adults, 1 child under 3, dining plan and 10 day park hoppers
(no discounts)
40% pin $ ($@4)2442.51
Free dining would save me about 1200.00:yay::yay::yay:
, Still looking to see if Southwest has some really GREAT deals, There prices for Sept don't come out until April 14th. Has everyone ever herard that it a good idea to check airfares at odd time like late at night and you some time can get good deals?
Need some help here . since we would probrarly only need 7 days of park tickets should I change, from 10days to seven to save some, money what would you do?
We have found a rental car for about $300. For Sept 10 thur Sept 20th
If we drive we would lose one nite and leave on Sept 19.
We also still have reservation for a room for Kylie and Josh and will chance it to free dining too, they still are not sure if they will be able to go.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

:dance3: Disney news
Yesterday my daughter had a long talk about our trip to WDW, we had to drive to PA for a memrial service.
She is going to see if see can get Thursday Sept 10th off, so we can start our vactaion eariler,
Her idea is that we could leave after woork on Wed about 6/7 p.m. and drive all night, arriving at WDW earlier after noon, It's about 17 hr drive from our house.
So It would mean I could see Mickey::MickeyMoone day sooner:yay:
She also thought she would like to try Mickey's Back Yard BBQ and some of the resturants at the Winderness Lodge.
Anyone ever do any of these?
Still hoping for "free dining tomorrow:dance3::dance3:

I'm not sure on our dates...I priced out a couple of different options. I'm leaning towards the Poly for like 5 nights but it's like $2600 which is a LOT of money. Granted a value was about $1200.00 for us. I'd love to stay at a monorail resort and it'll probably be our only other trip this year so it *might* be worth it...:rolleyes1
I'm so glad you were able to get it though. I guess it'll be meant to be for us if I call when I have time to run the numbers and make the reservation. Dan's mom is considering going with us again. It would be a nice tradition to get into with her for sure.

Our plans as of now Have us leaving about 6 /7 pm . Thanks again for carring for us I REALLY appreciate it :grouphug:
My best friend is going to WDW on Friday:cool1:
I have been trying to put together of basket of things for the ride and stuff for the parks.
Found some travel games at Catan's for .33 and mickey snacks and printed a WDW trivia game
Yesterday I printed off some autograph pages, only I could'nt get them to print on my 4 x 6 card stock , it only wanted to print half, even though I changed the size, so I printed them on 8 x 10 paper, and today I will cut them out and pasted them on the card stock, hopefully by the time of my trip I will get this figured out.

But if I hadkids with me would choose LeCellier !!We are also doing Chef Mickey in Sept. Th only thing to conseider is that supper is usually abetterchoice for 2 reasons ! Better value if on DDP and Breakfst TS take away from park time in the am unless it is a rest day! I haven't done any of theWildernes lodge meals so can't help there , O Hanas is on my wanna do some day list!!Crystal Palace is a huge fav. of mine for supperWe ll loved SciFi for the atmosphere , I am doing it oop in May at lunch !! I hear the hamburgers are excellent I absolutely love their oreocookie milkshakes they are to die for !!
Hope this helps !!
Thanks Rosie:)
I Will be lloking forward to your dining reviews
We ate in Chef's de France in Sept 2006 and loved it too, had a wonderful waiter, it was not on ADR was suggusted by the CM at our resort glad we did it But I agree that maybe not thet place for our 2 year old grandson.
Still think about Chef Mickey's the plan was for breakfast, on our 1st morning. thinking oop is a good idea for SciFi:thumbsup2
You have been a big help:):)

I have been thinking about some things I want to do for our trip.
I made a autotgrapgh book for my friend's trip (They just got back last night and had a amazing time)
So I've spent Some time on Creative Disigns thread
OH MY there are so many awesome wonderful things over there:lovestruc
I would like to make a autograph book, tee shirts. and a journal. .
I love meeting the characters, and am looking forward to meeting many :)as possible.
I hope to get tee ideas selected by June 1st and and to start making shirt by July 15th
Also a journal for Landen i know he a little young for this, but i think it will be a cute way for me and mommy to write down his reactions to things we do and see.
I have started collecting things for tinkerbell gifts too:yay:
well got to go Landen just work up, he has not been feeling well
and he says' I want to hold you' when he wants to be held,

The Creative DISign people are amazing aren't they??? I want to make a couple of shirts for Dan and Corbin for their actual birthdays. I made one that Corbin even wore here at his birthday party :goodvibes
I think the journal is a great idea. If we go in Sept and take Corbin out of school, I want to make one for him so it will be a bit more educational for him. :teacher:
Love gifts from Tinkerbell! :goodvibes I'm sure you've found lots of cute things!!
I LOVE that he says "I want to hold you". How sweet is that????:lovestruc

Good morning Friends:)
I hope everone had a good week:)
My "forever friend" son is getting married. and the wedding shower is today. They ask for gift cards for fixing up their home and yard. I was not excited about giving gift cards.
Because how do you break a ribbion on a gift card:confused3
But they are going to WDW for their Honeymoon:banana:
So I made them a honeymoon gift bag
I went to the Disney store:woohoo: and
I got "DISNEY DOLLARS":woohoo:
They are really cute with the new "What will you celebrate Theme"
I also got :
Disney Princess Word search
Disney Cars word search
Rain Ponchos
Singles to go (for water bottles)
Cinderalla night light
Cinderalla magic towel
cars magic towel
Glow sticks
Cinderalla bride figure
Car and Tinkerbell pencils
I also got red Mickey Mouse resuable bag, and A extra large black reusable Mickey Mouse bag(I think this will be great for keeping the "Tinkerbell gifts" together)
The wedding shower is themed "happily ever after' so I think that this will fit:thumbsup2
Disney update:)
We are driving:car:
My daughter used to work for Hertz, We can get a full size car from 9/9 until 9/20 for $300 . My friend that just got back from WDW spent $200 on gas they have a van, so i'm figuring about that in gas for us.
They will also honor and $ off coupons , soif any one knows of any PLEASE let me know. THANKs
All the airfare I can find run from $190 up, I will keep checking thought.
We are also Going to do the "Mickey Backyard BBQ" Corri really wants to this is instead of "hoop dee doo revue' She is a lovely dancer and loves
country music. The only problem i see is that this done only two nights a week (thur and sat) might be a problem getting it the right night but I'm sure we can work it out.
Well got to go Talk later:)

GRACE!!!! There you are!!! SO good to put a face to a name!!! Congratulations for figuring out the whole posting pictures thing! It can be tricky and somewhat trial and error.
Congrats on trying the driving thing. I hope that you are able to find some coupon to help cut the costs.
What a creative shower gift! I would love that. It's very original and so fitting for a Disneymoon!

Grace - I love the pictuers! YAY!!!!
I *think* to get them from the cd to photobucket, when you click on the button in photobucket to "choose" your pictures, inside that little pop up screen, you need to figure out how to find the drive the cd is in and pick them from there. I'm so not techinical but I know I have to go in and find my hard drive on there to get the pictures off since I don't save them on my computer. Hopefully that makes some sense. I do a lot of just playing around and forget how I did it! :rolleyes1
The books sound great really. I'm always up for new ideas.
