we are doing penne pasta in an artichoke cream sauce with julienne vegetables. It is delicious. I don't remember which DIS bride recommended it, but it is wonderful!

We had to make a selection that would work for our friends who are observant Jews (Kosher) and for our friend who is a vegetarian. The penne dish works beautifully for all of those meals. We also modified our soup and salad recipes so that they are kosher and vegetarian. I didn't want any of our guests not to have all of those delicious menu choices at each course.

Mmmm, mahi-mahi. But technically not all vegetarians would be down with that action, since fish is technically not a vegetable!

We're having the vegetarian dish from Jiko... I don't see it on the menu at allearsnet.com, but it's tandoori tofu on an amazing mix of grains and vegetables.

We also have friends coming that are Kosher -- so you just did the pasta for them???

I also have someone that is coming that is allegeric to chicken -- which is our main dish... AHHHH

Thanks for the help!!!

Our menu is a vegetarian cheddar soup w/pretzel bread; vegetarian (and no anchovy) caesar salad; duo plate of chicken & beef with veggies & mashed potatoes and then dessert. For the vegetarians & observant Jews, the pasta dish is substituted for the duo plate. I hope that helps!

I feel you, by the way. Fully half of our guests have specific dietary requirements - vegetarian, vegan, mushroom allergy, allergic to pepper, milk, wheat...

I was considering just serving oatmeal.

It costs a little extra, but we've been able to meet everyone's needs.

I needed a few vegetarian dishes at my wedding and just requested the meal, I never thought to ask for a specific item. But I know it was something with couscous? All I know is all the vegetarians came up to me and told me it was amazing! And they were so excited, because most assume vegetarian means you get a salad or the same meal minus the meat. They loved having a special gourmet meal. So I'm sure whatever meal you get will be delicious since the disney chefs rock!
