I booked ASMo for August and have received the confirmation letter. I booked over the phone and asked the CM to note my preference for a non-smoking room in the Toy Story section. The letter states non-smoking but does not state Toy Story. I know they don't guarantee you a specific building but should my preference be noted on the letter?
Thanks
Tracy

I do not know if they can put your preference on the letter, but I do know that they will try and accomodate you. The best way to be sure that you get what you want is to arrive early at the resort. Check-in at the All Stars is not officially until 4pm, but we have checked in as early as 11am. The will give you a number to call back and check on the readiness of the room. In the meantime, you can go into the parks, hang out at the pool, or go to Downtown Disney (what we usually do). They will give you your room keys, but not tell you what room you are in - they give you a number to call back and check on the readiness of your room. By doing this, you can get first shot at rooms opening up that day. I have also seen people post that they fax their requests to the resort 48 hours in advance of their arrival.

I hope you have fun.

Not all requests will actually show up on the confirmation letter. My understanding is that there are codes that are visible to the CMs at CRO and the Hotels, but that not all codes print to the confirmation letter.

If you are worried, you can call back and ask the CM what requests are noted on your ressie. If the Toy Story request isn't there, you can ask to have it added then.
