Ive just read on another thread that the room block number is for how many NIGHTS IN TOTAL need to be booked.
Does anyone have an idea how many night would probably be required if I only had 25 guests?
and do they count per Room or per Person?

I needed 25 for 12 guests but I got a total of 57 in the end.
In total there were 3 rooms booked all for 14 nights each. One room booked for 7 nights and I think my friends had 5 nights. I think they also counted the nights that I had also booked at the GF.
The numbers mounted up very quickly.

Thanks Jane - you've calmed me down about this. We will have 3 rooms minimum for a full 2 weeks (maybe 3 weeks for our room) - so i'm sure we will acheive whatever minimum they require. Does it all have to be in the same hotel or would it matter if some of my party were staying in a value resort?

Essentially you can talk any room block down, just make sure it is in your contract. I guessed we had 100 guests, I only had the 10 night guarantee put in because I wasn't really sure how many people were actually coming, plus lots of Floridians. You can always add rooms and just up your guarantee. Closer to the date is more difficult because of available rooms. However if you guests book early you can make sure you have enough.
Also if you get the 25 nights the bride & groom get 1 free night at the resort of their choice.

I told them the hotels we were all staying in as some of my guests were in a different hotel and that wasn't a problem.
I was also worried about the room block but they said that people from England have no problem filling up our room blocks as we always come over for two weeks.

I am having about 30 guests and we are going to fill more than the 25 becuase DF and I are going to be there 14 nights and my parents, FIL's and sister are all going to be there 5 nights each so that already put us way over the 25 we need.

IIRC, the required number of nights for up to 40 guests is 25 room nights.
When you go over 40 guests, it becomes 50 room nights.

we had 18 guests and needed 25 nights, we had 4 rooms booked so we had plenty.

I'm so glad they count DVC too - 10 of our nights are DVC!
They're also counting my mom at the campground...
We have 25 guests and we've got 44 room nights booked. We upped our guarantee to 35 to make sure everyone could get a room at the discounted rate if they wanted.
