I need a strategy for finding out about discounted rooms availability.

I just made ressies for the first part of our November trip. When I called I said "I'm looking for rates and availability for Movies". She immediately asked for my last name and zip code.

Now that I already have a reservation, I have a feeling they are going to ask for my name and zip again when I call back hoping for an AP discount - pull up the data on their system to see that I am already paying full value season price.

Could really use some help from The DIS on how do to get past that obsticle.

Thanks!

You can always tell them that you prefer not to give out that info.;)

Also if you check with this board area for discounts they will post when the AP discounts are available and then you can call CRO. The AP discounts don't usually come out until about 2-3 months ahead of time. Don't worry we were able to switch from our AAA rate to the AP for our ressies at the GF for this May.

Just overlook the typos.:D I tried to edit it but it took too long. I figured after 15 minutes of waiting you could figure out what I meant.

Basically the reasoning behind the zip code & name is to easily bring up info already stored on you, so they can more effectively help you. Also they want to keep track of repeat guest. I would suggest keeping an eye on mousesavers for discount codes and then calling CRO and checking on availability for that rate. Do not worry about already having a resv. Too many of us do what you are doing and WDW knows it. We just what the most cost effective way of staying their. So keep trying!! Good Luck.
