xl group goes bust

i was just watching gmtv and in the news it said that the xl group has gone bust.
i have travelled to walt disney disney world by travel city direct before and they wear a great company.
it look like the cheap price of holiday to wdw is going to go up now.

sorry to everyone affected (specifically TCD passengers) word of warning - be prepared for a long wait for refunds through ATOL, make sure you have ALL documents/proofs of purchase and receipts to hand. be prepared to get bank statements showing monies transferred.

Somone on the DLRP board has just ahd to pay over £700 for replacement flight to the canaries as she had XL flights and the go in a few days! :eek:

Terrible news for everyone who had holidays booked with them :( and I feel so sorry for the poor people who were on GMTV this morning. They'd actually turned up at the airport and got told the news there.

She has just been told by Mastercard that they will refund the price of the flights that they paid to XL. A small victory I suppose.

I feel really sorry for those who found out at the airport, that must be the most heartbreaking thing in the world
