We'd love to look up some of our favorites here, it seems pretty doable with maps online, plus I've heard there is an interesting museum and some pretty impressive monuments and other such things. I have heard that some areas are locked, others are closely monitored and the general public are not allowed in that area..are they extremely vigilant about that as long as you are respectful to other visitors? I've heard that it's fairly close to the Griffith observatory also, I'd like to do both the same day-- maybe going up to the observatory later. I've heard that evening is a great time to go.

The locked areas are lock in a way that you cannot
get in at all. The closely monitored areas are just that.
They are not meant for public access even if you plan
to be respectful. You will be asked to leave if you are
seen in these areas.

The observatory is only a few miles away from Forest
Lawn Glendale. Both can be done in the same day and
you've heard right - evening is a great time to go. Arrive
an hour or so before the sun sets and plan to stay an
hour or so after.

We went there in August and paid our respects to WD. It is a very beautiful cemetary. Was worth going there to see the monuments themselves. My advice would to go to the observatory first as we couldn't find parking there in the afternoon and had to skip it.

Wow, I didn't know there was a museum.
I went there last year to visit Walt who is open to the public.
But my fam & friends were fortunate enough to meet an employee who let us in a locked area where Sammy Davis Jr. and his fam is located. :goodvibes
