I just got a post card for deluxe hotels --- shows AKL for $129 a night from June 24 to August 24. We just returned from a Feb. trip to WDW. I want to go back again in early FEB 03 -- Has anyone had any success getting dates on a post card extended?
If I call and inquire will it increase or decrease my chances of getting another post card. I seem to be on their list. THis is the third post card I have recieved in the past year and half. We just used a card in Feb to get an $84.00 rate at CSP.

Good Luck!

 I just got my very first post card also! Like you, it was for AKL @ $129 per night. My first thought was how did I get this? I didn't send away or call for information. Then I thought, hmmmm wonder if I can use this for BW in May 2003. I'm always plotting, lol. I don't suppose this rate is good for May of next year though so I don't even plan to call and ask.
But.....wondering if anyone knows how Disney goes about sending these cards in the mail. I live in Massachusetts and have never seen a postcard like this before. Never heard of them until I found this board a few weeks ago. Would love to get another postcard with dates for next Spring. Maybe by December?
FWIW..... I am an outside sales travel agent. This site has really helped me help my clients going to WDW recently :D They think I am a Disney guru now. Shhh don't tell them anything.... :smooth:

Rneighh,
Was there a pin number with this postcard? (Usually above your name/address area) If not would you mind sending me a PM with more information about it? Thanks!!!:):):)

How does one go about getting postcards sent to them? I've read so much about discounts found on postcards, but I'm not sure how to sign up. Those rates sound way too good to pass up. Please let me know. Thanks!

Yes the card has a pin so the code will only work for the person who got the card.

There is a number above my name on the postcard which I now assume is the pin number others have mentioned. My card only mentions AKL with NO reference to any other DLX resorts. Valid 6/23/02-8/24/02, $129 plus tax per night, available most nights, non-transferrable, limited # of rooms, advance ressies req'd, no group or other discounts apply.
Elsewhere on the card it says to call your Disney Planner and ask for code CEJ. Maybe just calling and asking for that code will get you the rate. Good luck and post back if it worked.

I know how you feel kind of like there's a secret club your friends belong to and you can't get in:mad: I'm going to call and give them the promo code and see what happens. I already have ressies there in Aug. and friends of ours wanted to stay there but I gave them the CEW for moderates and they made ressies for POR at that great rate. I'll let you know what I find out.

I got the same postcard. My first ever.
We last went to WDW in October.
I dont know abotu extending the dates, but I have heard other people ask if its transferable to another hotel if the specific hotel mentioned on the postcard is booked up.

OK, I checked, my original ressies were for 8/9&10 AKL concierge level 2 night total of 730.00 using the AP code. I called today and was allowed to use the new promotion code and it saved me 70.00, the new total is 664.00:D He was checking the rate and said "well it's not going to save you much" and I thought it was only going to be a couple of $$. I'm pretty glad I checked.

...extend the dates if you are beginning your trip within the date specified. They don't honor the rates after a certain time period, but, hey, you never know...it never hurts to call (the worse they can say is "No"....)
(Sending some "good luck" pixie dust your way * * * * * * )
